We chose Christophe after reading some good reviews and literally walking right by it while walking to our hotel after a day of sightseeing. Christophe offers several menu options in addition to ordering a la carte - a simple, three course dinner for €35 and a more elaborate four course menu for €66 though you can select thee courses for €56. We decided to select three courses off of the larger menu and were not disappointed.
We started with two pairs of amuse bouches which were excellent. The appetizer (only one option is available) was excellent, arguable the best dish of the meal - tartine with langoustine and avocado togther with a small salad. It was wonderfully fresh, flavorful and nicely garnished.
The menu had two main course selections - filet of monk fish and leg of lamb. Both dishes were excellent though the portions were on the small side. Again, the food was nicely prepared and presented.
The dessert was roasted apricots with an almond cake and rosemary ice cream. It was refreshingly light and a nice way to finish off dinner.
Service was excellent and the dining room a very nice setting. However, there was only one other table of diners which meant it was a somewhat lonely and quiet experience. Notwithstanding this, I would highly recommend dining at Christophe.
