Brilliant collection that demonstrate historic trends reflected in the use of bags along the years. A refreshing point of view for history lovers, an inspiring experience for fashion lovers! As you move further towards the 20th century, bags are getting more and more fun, with some whimsical pop culture bags, such as a cupcake bag, a bucket of champagne bag, pop art bag, lips bag and a coke cola can bag (among many others). Museum shop doubles the fun, with some exciting bags related souvenirs and different design items. Be sure to check out the fine selection of cupcakes and french macrons on the museum's cafe. Note that the Tassen museum offers some additional unique activities that require booking in advance, such as periodic afternoon tea, periodic lunch and bags workshops - worth planning ahead for this. I'm so glad I took the time to make a reservation for the afternoon tea, which was served in a lovely periodic room (with canal view) and offered some delicious snacks & desserts. Highly recommended.

Nice experience with my mum and sister. Some really interesting pieces. Not too big, so one won't get tired in the end :)

Really fascinating museum - very well laid out. Not crowded, lots to see over 3 floors. Lovely cafe as well and a good gift shop.

A smallish collection but beautifully displayed and explained. Well worth the visit, even for the menfolk...

I really enjoyed this Museum. It has a beautiful collection of purses and handbags, there are some real treats in store for a Handbag lover!
There is a lovely café on the first floor - well worth a visit.
The only thing that let it down was the lack of Handbags and other goods to purchase in the shop.

Thank Talbotbird
