We joined Kim on a hen party to show us the seedier of life in the Dam. Loved every minute and actually learned lots too.

Perfect mix of touristy sightseeing and and eye-opener on what goes on in those windows.

Kimbo. We love you!

Perhaps a little overpriced but for a one night overview of one of Amsterdam's most famous trades this tour is definitely worth while. Admittedly it can be a little awkward at times (perhaps even uncomfortable with the in-laws) but is informative and interesting nonetheless.
Best of all, you get a good beer in a nice bar at the end.

We met Kimberly for the 10pm tour and she was fun and informative. She took us all around the red light district and told us all about the history and some amazing facts about the area e.g. Blue lights for the transvestite windows! She took us to a very cool bar after the tour, which felt a very personal touch as she stayed with us for a while telling us more about her life in Amsterdam. We would highly recommend this tour - a highlight of our trip.

Our small group made reservations for this tour while we were in Amsterdam before a river cruise. The guide did a great job of explaining the history and regulations involved in the "sex business". They look at his completely different from America and feel that this will occur anyway so why not let them pay taxes and keep a clean bill of health. It was a very interesting tour, different from my expectations (in a good way), and I would not have been comfortable meandering through the district without a guide. We ended up at an intimate little bar for beer or wine. Our guide also recommended a great restaurant in the district -- Little Thai Prince (very small).

This is an absolute must-do in Amsterdam along with Van Gogh museum and Anne Frank house. Kimberly is a wonderful guide providing a lot of insight about the Red Light District. She provides color not just on the sex trade but also the coffee houses and historical aspects of the RDL. I would recommend this as a first thing to do in Amsterdam and a good way to get acclimated to the city.
