Just got back from a 3 night break at The Best Western Leidse Square Hotel, overall the hotel was excellent value, a little dated but clean and comfortable with really friendly staff. We had a room on 4th floor which was spacious with really comfy beds. They don’t have an evening restaurant but do serve breakfast at additional cost and have a small bar which is open in the evenings.
Bus 197 from the airport cost 5 euros and drops off in Leidesplein which is very near to hotel, just get off bus and walk down the street to the left of the Marriott hotel and you will find the hotel.
The hotel is also really close to tram network, Blue Boat Company Canal Cruises (which we were given discount voucher by reception), lots of cafes and restaurants including the Hard Rock Café and lots of the famous museums including the Van Gough and Rijksmuseum.
If we were to stay in Amsterdam again I would have no hesitation in staying at the hotel again.
