I've gotten to a point where I just prefer B&B's when I travel. I did a little research and found this gem before heading off to Amsterdam for my first visit. I was not disappointed! This place was wonderful! Great location, amazing hosts (including Tommie), wonderful breakfast and views. I can't say enough about this place.
Before arriving, Peter and I exchanged a few emails, and he gave me advice on trains to take from Germany. Peter and Wolter were waiting for us when we arrived. We were early, but they welcomed us in right away anyway. They could not have been nicer. They even welcomed us with a champagne toast! Breakfast each day was great. The view from the breakfast room is just beautiful.
We stayed in the green room on the ground level. The accommodations were great. Our room was unique and inviting. It had a lot of character yet was updated with a recent remodel. The bathroom was very modern. The place was spotless. I really felt like they thought of and provided everything for our comfort. The room even had a nice computer with internet and a wireless printer right upstairs. It made it so easy to buy museum and train tickets (and to, sadly, print our boarding passes when it was time to depart). The bed was super comfortable, and there were even two TVs in the room.
Peter and Wolter answered all of our questions and made themselves available whenever we needed anything. They gave us some great advice on things to do (and not to do), places to see and restaurants to visit.
When it was time to leave, Wolter got up early and made us a little something before we headed out to catch the train to Brussels. He and Peter went out of their way to make our visit great, and I want to thank them for that.
I will definitely stay here during my next visit to Amsterdam, and I highly, highly recommend this B&B to everyone who is reading this. Stay here!!! You won't be disappointed!
