The Amrath was not built as a hotel and it shows but only in agood way. The hwole place is full of amazing art deco detail all lovingly restored and really quite amazing.
Our room was really comfortable, huge bed, coffee maker, free minibar, really deep bathtub and separate shower. Everything you would expecet from a luxury hotel. Our booking included breakfast which was varied and of a high quality although I might have thought twice about paying €25 each for it.
All of the staff we encountered were helpful and a really good advert for the hotel. They too seemed to take a great pride in the amazing place in which they worked.
We stayed in a 4th floor superior room with views over the adjacent canal. We booked direct with the htoel and this seemed to get a better deal than our usual hotel booking sites. The hotel is an easy walk from Centraal Station even with luggage.
