stayed here for 2 nights in june. the staff were able to resolve any problems we had and found us a new room when building work outside made it impossible to sleep. bathrooms were spotless, bedrooms were fine, nothing special but location-wise, for 2 nights it was just right for an Amsterdam city break

This Hotel was selected through Bookings.com as a place to stay whilst being in Amsterdam. Upon arrival the people at reception were unhelpful and blatantly unfriendly. This happened through our 4 day stay. Upon our arrival every time the reception clerk would not even look at the guests, and not greet any of us! This happened with all the clerks that worked during our stay at the Hotel.

The location is central although the Hotel is in an ill state of repair. The room we had was on the first floor. It was dirty upon arrival. Sugar spills from previous hotel guests was still on the broken cupboard. I do not know what type of party went on in the room previously, but the stains on the wall against the bed was not only suspicious, but also indicative that the walls are never cleaned. The linen is thin, as is the towels (old and washed out).
The room was not cleaned or made up during one of our days at the Hotel. They said they must have forgotten the room!! No reprise or action to clean the place!
There is no air-con.

Comfortable bed, good, simple decoration in the bedroom...shower,toilette excellent... In my opinion staffs are not so friendly... Very clean rooms... Easily reach by tram 1,2 and 5 from Central station..
The location of the hotel is very central... Many restaurants and bars around the hotel

Hotel was clean and provided just the bare essentials. Rooms very small. Internet very spotty - sometimes worked sometimes not. We did not buy the breakfast. Location is great. Staff helpful but not consistent.

Mozart is very well situated close to restaurant area, museums and shopping. Promenade in front of the house is under construction. Rooms are basic with no charm. Toilet has no lid and the carpet has seen better days. Breakfast area is somewhat gloomy any not appealing. Staff is not very friendly and complicated with the check-in.

If you’re looking for a place to stay that is in a good location and that is all you’re looking for than this place would be it. Don’t expect any frills or any service. For example we asked if we could keep our room till noon (their check out time is 11:00am) and were told we would need to pay to have the room for that extra hour. We asked if we could store our bags and found out that their storage area is a corner of the lobby. You leave your personal belonging at your own risk. Anyone can walk off with your bags. Breakfast is included in the room rate. If you’re tried of the breakfast fare 2 blocks away is Starbucks and a local coffee chain called Coffee Company.

I booked a single room and my bed was small (I am 5’ 4’’ and 140 lbs) - I barely fitted - if I was a restless sleeper I would fall off the bed. The two redeeming facts about my room (room 504) was that it was one floor down so I could walk without having to wait for the elevator which was so slow and the bathroom was a decent size (it was almost the same size as the room). Be sure you don't walk bare feet in your room.

The hotel is located a few blocks from the Rijkmusuem and one block away is Leidsegracht (a main thorough fare) where you can catch three tram lines (line 1,2 and 5) that take you to Dam Square and Central Station. Approximately 5 blocks away is Bloemenmarket (the flower market).
