“Fabulous!”

Rooms: We stayed at the upstairs room which was abosultely lovely. What I loved the most was that each room in the house is privately located so it feels like you have the house all to yourself. The house is very modern, clean, well decorated and very comfortable.

Hosts: We met only with Vlad and the helpers in the house. Vlad was absolutely wonderful. He showed us around the house as soon as we arrived, gave us recommendations on restaurants to eat at and was very friendly. The same can be said about the helpers.

Food/bfast: They have a very nice spread of food for bfast which included croissants, bread, jams, cakes, fruit, cereal etc. You also have access to food in the fridge through the rest of the day in the kitchens.

Location: It was the perfect location for us because it was a relatively quiet neighbourood with a good share of restaurants. The city center is a 10 min walk. We actually walked to most places and found it easy to do that.

Overall: We absolutely loved it and are glad that we decided to stay here. Would definitely stay here again if I visit the city again.

Can't fault this B&B. Modern, spotless accommodation in a fantastic location. Great hosts and staff. Lovely variety of fresh fruit, pastries and savouries at breakfast, not to mention the delicious Dutch pancakes. Thanks to Vlad and Ken for a great stay !

Perfect! What else do I need to say. We stayed here earlier this year.
The location was fantastic and was only about a five to eight minute walk to the main train station. The neighbourhood was charming with plenty of things to see and do in this part of central Amsterdam. It was not noisy in the area and the place was just what you want in a B&B. Warm character and as we had the 2 downstairs rooms it felt completely separate from the rest of the house. The whole house is clean and inviting with modern decor and large rooms and large bathrooms. Both the hosts and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and nothing was to much to ask for. Great breakfast before you start your day is cooked by the team. There are plenty of things to do and read in the house if you just want to sit back and relax.
I want o go to Amsterdam again next year and will not think of staying anywhere else.

Room Tip: I think pretty much all the rooms would be perfect. If you can't get in on your dates then try t...

We stayed at Heren B&B Jul 6-9. Using the emailed map and instructions, we walked from the train station and met Vlad at their Maes B&B location. Then he walked us a couple blocks to the Singel canal location. Even though one of the wheels on my over-packed suitcase was stuck, Vlad insisted on carrying it for me. What a totally cool guy! He spent a lot of time checking us in and showing us around the place and giving advice on nearby places to eat. Vald was an absolutely wonderful host. And it seemed like we practically had the whole place to ourselves. We stayed in two double rooms downstairs and were never bothered by other guests. The beds were the most comfortable beds; the upstairs rooms were full of lovely flowers and travel books to look at. The breakfasts were delicious; we really appreciated the time and care put in by the employees who were in charge of the meals. Plus, everyone was extremely friendly. Special kudos to the helper (I wish I had gotten his name so I could send him a personal "Thank You") who fixed the wheel on my suitcase/duffel bag out of the goodness of his heart. He totally saved me a lot of trouble for the trip home! I am so grateful for him.
All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Amsterdam, thanks to Vlad and Ken. They steered us to wonderful restaurants and chocolate shops, and were totally a blast to talk to. I can't wait to make that trip again. I woudn't consider staying at any other place.

We stayed at the B&B in July and very much enjoyed our stay. Vlad and his staff were very helpful with any questions we had and our room was really great. The decor was modern and clean. The location was within striking distance of everything. Thank you for a memorable stay.

My daughter and I stayed at Heren B&B for 2 nights, July 10-11. I booked our room in April via email. Vlad and Ken sent very detailed instructions on the policies and directions to reach the B&B. We walked to from the train station and it was literally 5 minutes rolling our suitcases over the cobblestones. We checked in at Mae's B&B at Herenstraat 26. We were met by an employee who walked us the 2 blocks to the Heren property. The minute we walked in the smell of fresh lilies greeted us. We were given a tour of the main living area with large sofas that look out to the Singel canal. There are 2 kitchens available for guest use, a computer and printer, refrigerator and microwave. Our room was the Gallery room above one of the kitchens. It was huge compared to the other 2 hotels/BBs we had stayed at on our trip. The bathroom was a "wet room" and also huge. Everything was sleek and modern. Our bed was very comfortable and the sliding glass door opened to the back courtyard and provided some fresh air during the day. Breakfast was also one of the best we had during our trip. Better croissants than we had in Paris, and delicious Dutch pancakes. We enjoyed meeting Vlad at breakfast and hearing about the history of the house. He and Ken have done a beautiful job renovating the property. This is a fabulous location to be in. Easy walk to everything with wonderful restaurants and cafe nearby. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Amsterdam, it is a jewel.

My partner and I stayed at Heren B & B in the last week of June. Ken and Vlad have done a beautiful job renovating this stunning and well-positioned, flower filled, canal house. From the moment we arrived we felt welcome and at home; all of our needs were catered for with smiles and grace. Breakfast was generous and delicious. It was a joy to return every day. We recommend Heren B & B without hesitation, and look forward to the day we can return.
