“forget Starbucks”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2014

When you accidentally walk by this basement cafe, you may not even notice it. It is not a designed place. Actually, their main line of business appears to be selling coffee beans and grounded coffee, and having a cup of coffee there is just a side line.
It is a small place with just a handful of simple tables (literatlly). The owner apparently is a master baristo from Rome. He blends and roasts his own coffee. For each type of coffee you may wish to drink (espresso, capucchino etc.) you can choose from which blend of beans you wish it to be made. And the owner will be happy to advise you. Listen to his advice, and you will indeed enjoy a cup of coffee that is noteworthy.

During my last visit in Amsterdam I discovered the place... Unbelievable!!!! Good coffee, roasted in house and prepared with passion! I really recommend to spend here also lunch time or if you prefer, take away a really good lasagna bolognese!!!
Good idea!!!!

“Breakfast italian style!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 12, 2013

You can't beat this espresso in Amsterdam. You won't find anywhere else a perfect espresso or cappuccino, carefully prepared by the italian Barista Daniele. his place is not a simple Bar, it's a temple dedicated to coffee; Daniele select and roasts his own coffee, offering three delicious varieties AND an amazing Ging Seng coffee you can find ONLY at La Boutique del Caffè.
Going to work, almost everyday I have to start my day with a cappuccino and a fresh baked croissant!
Quality of the products and experience mean everything to Daniele and his (happy) customers get the best!
I could go on and suggest to try the AWESOME hot chocolate (beat it if you can!!!), the delicious home made focacce, the tasty home made lasagne and parmigiana at lunch or the heavenly tiramisu! But the best thing to do is take a walk and award yourself with a REAL espresso at La Boutique del Caffè!
