“Lovely hotel”

Very modern with funky artistic design. Rooms are a good size, with well presented bathroom facilities and very large comfortable bed. Gym was OK too, basic but all you need (take your own water though). I eat dinner & took away a breakfast box and both were excellent. The buffet breakfast has an abundance of variety and all tasty. Would recommend if you are happy to tram/ metro into city centre. Quite nice to come out away from it all after a busy day. Overall would definitely recommend.

Just returned from a 3 night stay at this hotel. Firstly, dealing with previous reviews that complain about the location of this hotel, it is clearly and concisely stated in the hotel information that this hotel is on the outskirts and is not a city centre hotel. We purposely picked this hotel for its location. If you don't read the readily available information on the hotel don't moan if it's not what you 'thought' it would be.
Myself, my husband and 2 other friends thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The walk from the hotel to the nearest tram stop is 5-10 mins away by shortcut through a residential estate. I myself enjoyed the 15-20 min ride into the city. There is so much to see on your journey.
We spent 12-13 hours a day out of the hotel and didn't eat there but the rooms were clean and spacious and the beds extremely comfortable which was most welcoming after spending most of the day on my feet.
I will have no reservations in staying at this hotel when I next visit Amsterdam.

This hotel practice descrimination of the guests on the ground of their nationality. Apparantly there are two or three sorts of guests for the staff of this hotel according to the country from which they come. The remarkable example of that was manifested on the third day of our stay in this hotel. We are tourits from Russia. The first two days of our stay we could take any place in the restaurant for breakfast. But on the third day when we tried to occupy some place we liked the Head waiter came to us and ask us if we were tourists from Russia, we answered "yes, we are". Then the Head waiter told us if we were tourists from Russian group we must go to the far corner of the restaurant to take our place among other Rusian tourists, and that we couldn't take place we liked. But when we come there to that far corner she had directed us to, we found out there was a group of Russian people who we didn't come with to this hotel, we were not from that certain touristic group of Russian, so we couldn't understand why we must sit there with them just becouse we are all Russians but not in some other part of the restaurant like any other tourist... We told the Head waiter about that and asked if we could take a place we have chosen at first. The head-water said then "o.k., if you`re not from that group you can sit anywhere' We took the food and sat daown. But then some other manager came to us and asked if we are Russian again, said if we were from Russian group we couldn't sit here, and directed us this time to another far part of the restaurant. So we had to "jump" from one place to another with our plates in hands just becouse we were Russians ! And all this outrage took place virtually in empty restaurant, becouse it was early morning and there were just few people eating there!! So it couldn't be becouse there was lack of places or things like that! When we told the Head waiter that it's descrimination of our rights she couldn't invent any believable cause than to say us "sorry i just asked you to go there for your convenience... it's all for you convenience".
I guess for his convenience the guest of the hotel has the right to take place which is convenient for him but not be chased by ungraciouse staff ! So they even didn't take the trouble to explain somehow reasonably their discriminative approach... If you are are Russian tourist who is not used to feel yourself "third sort guest" in a hotel i strongly recommend you to choose another hotel for your stay where you can get a worthy attitude !

This is essentially a business hotel on a technology park. You are a 10 minute walk from the nearest tram/bus and then 30 minutes more into central Amsterdam. Because of this everything at the hotel is really expensive. E.G. parking was almost 20 euros a day!

We were lucky as we had great weather - would be a bit of a nightmare if it was raining hard.

The hotel itself was well run and very clean. It was also very quiet which did have benefits after having traipsed around Amsterdam all day. On a positive the location meant we got to see parts of amsterdam which we wouldn't normally have seen.

In summary you could do a lot worse for the money but make sure you are relatively fit before picking this one.

It was a pleasant stay, can't fault much about the hotel as it is well maintained and artistic, its just quite far from the centre, myself and my boyfriend got around ok after we got to grips with the public transport. The staff were good and the rooms were comfortable.

My wife and I have just returned from a long weekend in Amsterdam after stopping at the Artemis Hotel. We have enjoyed the quietness and slow pace of the hotel; the staff were all been really helpful and even with the large number of Bus/ Coach parties that stop overnight the hotel copes well.
The rooms are quite pleasant but not really 4* quality, this is in reality a 3* establishment who could improve to Four Star one day, the day we arrived one of the bath towels was so old that it was worn to the point of a large split and was very uncomfortable, the bathroom showed signs of needing slight improvement in hygiene but not dirty. We asked for two extra pillows and that took them two hours to arrange and a reminder from me.
The chef is good, the breakfast although seems expensive but as there is no alternative within 5 miles you had better take it! The hotel is 25 minutes by bus out of the city on a large office and apartment complex with no other facilities nearby.
Overall a good experience and if the management made a concerted effort to improve the very little things that do make a difference then I am sure they would not need to rely on bus parties stopping one night on route to somewhere else.
