From the minute I walked in, you could tell the owners 'get' what travellers want, through the little touches. Mini bar - free with a variety of non-alcoholic. Bed - comfortable. Toiletries - quality. Towels - large and fluffy. Snacks - free. Coffee machine in room. Breakfast, included and not over the top. You felt you were a guest and not a cash stream. Once you are booked, no extra charges.
Location is central to trams and train station. Walking is easy too - I covered 5-10k most days. Yes, it's close to de wallen, but that's only two blocks of British louts and Japanese tour groups.

And if you're lucky you might meet the littlest host - she's a real cutie.

Highly recommended. I'll be back.

We visited Amsterdam in Juky, before leaving for a cruise. We spent 2 nights at Misceatdrinksleep.
Unfortunately, we did not meet the owners as they were in the US on a visit. Our experience was wonderful. We loved our room at the top of the (very steep) stairs. We overlooked the courtyard garden and I highly recommend the room.
Breakfast included fresh breads, eggs to order, cappuccino or espresso and croissant, cheeses, fresh squeezed juices, cereals...anything you might want. The other guests were great travelers and shared their tips for spots no to miss in the city.
The location is ideal, close to the Central Station, walking distance from museums, great food and much more. We will visit again when the opportunity comes along.

Room Tip: The stairs are very steep and there is no elevator. If you have issues with climbing stairs, call to...

It was my husband's birthday so we wanted to go for something special for our second trip to Amsterdam. This place really stood out and am really glad we did go for it. The hotel is in a central area, a few minutes away from all the coffee shops and red light district and only 5 mins away to Dam Square. It is also surrounded by good restaurants and bars. Having said that, the room we stayed in (Garden view) was incredibly peaceful and quiet.
This hotel is a real gem and I would highly recommend it. The staff are immensely helpful and will go out of their way to make sure you are happy with your stay. And finally, I wanted to save the best for last, the breakfast is to die for, probably my favourite part of the holiday!

Room Tip: The garden view rooms are quieter but can get a little warm as the sun goes down.

I got a ridiculous bargain on the flights and chose this place to stay on the back of the good reviews. It's all true what they say, the owners are incredibly friendly. The location is good for the interesting shops, canals, and sightseeing the other joys. Amsterdam is a crazy place and we had a weekend that seemed to fit in enough to keep you busy in a week. Went home tired but full of new ideas.

I stayed here in July 2012 and it's a fabulous hotel and a lovely central area of Amsterdam (one of my favourite cities in the world). This hotel is more of a boutique guest house as it's quite small, but it has such a relaxed vibe and there is no chamber maid hammering on your door at 8am to make up the room - definitely a bonus as Amsterdam, perhaps more so than other city in Europe, is a late night city. Breakfast is good, the free beverages in the mini-bar in each room is a nice touch and the rooms are comfortable and pleasant. It's a real bonus being able to step out of the hotel door and be right in the centre of the action. I will 1005 stay here again.

One of the better hotels B&B's I have stayed at in the area. The owners are really nice and accommodating, the rates are reasonable for what you get. I really enjoyed staying here and the location is perfect.

Only negative is no air conditioning.
