“Average hotel centrally located in Amsterdam”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2012

This hotel would have received very good or excellent marks if it had not been for:

1) The very poor functioning air conditioning system. The air quality inside the hotel both in the room and in the public areas was poor, this even when outside temperatures were in around 20degC so no need for heating or cooling, just ventilation. This fact was not made any better as the windows in the room could not be opened.

2) An unnecessary high charge for internet connection, EUR 10.70/24hours. Free internet was only available in the public areas and it was not very stable.

3) Relatively high charge for breakfast.

On the god side is the cleanliness and the staff which were very helpful. The location is a great starting point for the museums and the tram nearby quickly takes you downtown. The lobby bar closes at 23:00

Hotel located in a very good location, close to the major city attractions. Well connected both by foot as well as by public transportation.
Nice and clean rooms.
Just a bit overpriced compared to hotels near by.

The hotel is very well located, close to the open market and the museums. Very friendly and efficient service, large and clean rooms, good breakfast. Free WiFi in the lobby. Direct tram to the Central Station and Dam Square from a nearby stop.

the hotel has a excellent feel and the rooms are good and average size. it is centrally located and 10 mins to damm square by tram.
the hotel even has cycles for rent but they are a bit highly priced as compared to the other rental agencies.
it takes around 30 to 40 euros from the airport to this hotel by taxi and approx 30 mins.

Room Tip: i think staying at damm square is much better as thats the place where everbody hangs around

I have always liked this hotel; good location in Amsterdam, modern rooms and good service. It is worth paying the supplement for an executive rooms - they are considerably larger than the standard rooms.

Room Tip: Book an executive room!

I agree with the reviews that the NH Museum Quarter is in a lovely place and is moderately priced. It is very close to the Museum Quarter, to the Heineken Experience, the Albert Cuyp Market, and the Leidesplein.

I got a third floor standard room facing the canal. The room was very large, but seemed very dated. One thing that really made an impression was the weird 70s-era orange carpet that seemed as old as it looked. It was clean, but made the room feel very dated.

There was a refrigerator in the room, a safe, lots of closet space, and a nice bathroom. The toiletries weren't the greatest, they only provide soap and shampoo (bring your own conditioner).

There is free wi-fi in the lobby, but only for thirty minutes at a time and you need to ask the desk staff for a login and password.

Front desk staff wasn't particularly helpful when I asked about the trolley system, but I was able to

Room Tip: The canal view is nice and not too noisy even when you leave the window open.
