We were looking for the Anne Frank museum down the narrow streets of Amsterdam !!
Along came a torrential hale storm and we were drawn to this candle lite corridor, inside we found a fantastic excuse to enjoy a quality red wine and Pizza
Maybe come back to queue and see the Anne Frank exhibition next year and then head to IL Pacioccone

I dined on a late weeknight (Wednesday) in what is a rather small narrow space. There were couples, families, and a place for "solos" like me. The wine choices were good and the service excellent.

The menu was from the chalk board and there were a few different choices. The pizza seemed to be popular but I had the Lasagna which was delicious. I would return here without hesitatation

A cozy atmosphere and great food! Be it for a romantic night or a family meal (as both were present) it was the perfect spot to come upon.
We were welcomed with open arms and seated and served with compliments of the chef, some home made bread drenched in fine oil for starters.
Never rushed, we ordered wine to enjoy and later dove into the best open oven pizza ever! Followed by dessert - not that we were still hungry, but how could we not experience the home made dessert as well.
All along not bothered, but skillfully attended to by the staff.
Thank you again for that wonderful meal.

When a restaurant like this is in Amsterdam and such a great place to eat. Oh man. Just coming in you get such a great open and smiling welcome. The starters are fantastic. We has the eggplant with cheese tomatoes and other veggies. Delicious. To follow Pizza. I'm not a Pizza man but these were something else. One picant salami and the other funghi. Superb. Great coffee and a house wine of noble qualities. Worth a visit and then another quickly afterwards. Thanks. Gracie Mille Tante!!

A memorable, truly Italian meal. The wine and much of the food was from around Perugia . The menu was limited to starters, pasta, pizza, cheese and baracchi oil. I put it as a menu item, but only because it enhanced every dish. Tomato/mozzarella was a starter but I opted for tomatoes with basil. We were given some bread cooked in the wood-fired oven and dripping with the oil. The tomatoes were small, red and shone with the oil. This was accompanied by beautiful fresh bread. Our mains, lasagna for me - like no lasagna I’ve ever had. The pasta was thin and crisp on the edge; there was a little sauce but what there was, was perfection. My wife had a bowl of spaghetti with ndjima , a spicy sauce of pork, garlic, garlic-and-chilli and tomato. Another glistening offering; simple, but perfect. We probably had enough carbs for a month, but every mouthful was marvellous. The food was a delight, but the bill was a nice surprise too. The wine was unexpectedly good, a full-bodied Italian red, and most reasonably priced.
