Had a great time in Dam and the appartment was very good. Our host(s) Ravir and Peter are super frienldy and helpful, live down the road and are always available. The only problem with this pad is that the balcony points towards a side/main street, and is quite lively and also it gets very noisy on Tuesdays and Fridays early mornings since the garbage disposal truck has to empty the two big (hidden in the ground) containers. Or maybe its just that we live in the country and were not used to the noises of a big city :-)
This apartment provides easy access to the city and museums and is located in a very pleasant and friendly residential area. The apartment is small as expected and is up one level of difficult stairs so be prepared for that. Peter was very helpful with our luggage in navigating the stairs so that worked out well. The kitchen is adequate for basic stovetop food preparation and storage and works well enough for a couple. Peter was a great, friendly, and very helpful host. Thanks Peter!
Lovely apartment . The comfiest beds EVER and the host who greeted us (ravir) was the most helpful and showed us everything before leaving us to settle in . Not one complaint . Would definitely book here again !!
Everything you need within walking distance - including tram #9 to the city centre less than a minute walk. Comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen. Charming view!
The hosts are very welcoming and attentive. The apartment is bright and clean (1rst floor). It's about 20 minutes from the historical center with the tram 9 (stop at 100 meters). In particular the bedding is excellent (rare in a rented apartment). The installation is convenient and suitable for a holiday stay. Closely are useful shops : bakery, butchery and supermaket. The area is rather quiet and is near a park. We enjoyed a neighborhood atmosphere that allowed us to relax after a day of city tour. We recommend this apartment.
Ravir and Peter's Apartment In upper east Amsterdam was just prefect. First they were very helpful in getting settled the first day, and the apartment had everything that I needed. The neighborhood was great everything you would need restaurants parks shopping all less than 1/2 block away. Also the transportation both tram and metro very close. I would definitely stay with them again, great stay
This is a spacious apartment, which was spotlessly clean. Comfortable beds, cooking facilities and even a small balcony, as well as chairs and a table to have breakfast if the weather is too cold for the balcony.
The location was perfect for our needs. There are a range of bars and restaurants within a few minutes walk as well as bakeries for morning croissants etc right on the doorstep. We found a little enclave on a canal which was 10 minutes walk away and had Thai, sushi etc restaurants (along Hogeweg, turn left at roundabout and go across the bridge). There is also a very handy supermarket just round the corner. Access to central Amsterdam is easy on the tram that stops outside (frequent service and only takes about 20 minutes, although it's also walkable.)
Ravir was there to welcome us, and was very friendly and helpful, giving us advice for our stay. He also responded very promptly to a couple of email queries we had prior to our visit.
When we stayed there was no TV in the room but this did not inconvenience us at all. There are two apartments at the same address, and the Trip Advisor photos seem to be mainly of the apartment which looks out to the street. We were in the other one which features in photos 31, 32, 38 and 45.
There is a steep staircase to the apartments and that won't suit everyone but it was fine for us, especially since Ravir zipped upstairs with our bags on arrival! When you arrive, go in as if you're going into New Fysic - the entrance to the apartments are ahead of you (beyond the glass door into New Fysic).
All in all, great apartment, fantastic location and very welcoming hosts. We would thoroughly recommend it.
