“Cheese paradise”
Reviewed December 21, 2013 via mobile

The chiese museum is not really a museum. On the ground flora there si a little shop with a quite big selection of cheeses, while in the -1 floor there is a small (but free!) exposition about the cheese making process. One notable item which you can see here is the world's most expensive cheese cutter! The staff is very friendly.

“Great little shop”
Reviewed December 10, 2013

You can smell the cheese from outside, this little shop was great so many cheese! Different kinds and colours. Downstairs is a little museum free entrance but you can make a donation, shows all the cheese equipment and information. All very sweet, i bought some cheese home for my dad, they suction pack it all so you can take it on a plane! :)

“A little gem to stumble across”
Reviewed December 2, 2013

We came across the Cheese Museum on our way back from Anne Franks house. There was a staff member outside who encouraged us to take a photo of the 'cow' and the 'cheese' and then welcomed us inside. He is a great 'staff' asset to have. We enjoyed our visit - lots of samples - and even purchased some mustards and cheeses. We then went downstairs to the museum and were able to dress up and take some photos - in true Amsterdam style! and all for free! A lovely touch. It encourages you to purchase in the shop as you get the 'feel good' factor. Be sure to add it to your itinerary.

“Smile and say Cheese!”
Reviewed November 30, 2013

We stumbled across the shop and museum reconnoitring the Ann Frank House. Generous amounts of cheese for tasting and an interesting 'cameo' museum downstairs. Some fun for the youngsters who want to dress as milk maids and snap a photo - 'smile and say cheese'!
A sharp contrast to our motive for visiting this area of the city, nevertheless, a light and very enjoyable experience. Worth a visit.
