The apartment was clean, comfortable and well equipped. René and Ellen were helpful is advising us on the best places to go in Amsterdam and in setting up a visit to Keukenhof Gardens.
We really enjoyed our stay, nice quiet location in interesting old street yet, just a short walk down 'Snowball St.' is the very frequent bus service to the city centre. If you like windmills catch a bus the other way to Zaanse Schans.
nice quiet flat not to far out of town just about right distance away fro the hussel and busssel of town 3 bus stops from central station takes about 10 min with traffic the owner was friendly and showed us round apartment had leaflets of things going on around about you with a wee supermarket just along the road
We had the most wonderful time here in this apartment. We stayed for 5 nights and it was so peaceful. Apartment is very clean and comfortable with everything you need. René the owner has it very homely with books to read and DVD's to watch. The beds are so comfy and the main bedroom has a little balcony outside. There is a bus just 5 min walk down the road that takes you to the central station, this only takes 10 minutes. Everything is so convenient. there is a shop a few minutes walk from the apartment that sells all the necessary groceries and the owner is very friendly. There are supermarkets and cafes also down the road so anything you need you will get it there. We are already planning to come back to this apartment. We have been in Amsterdam a few times and this is by far the nicest apartment we have stayed in, cannot recommend it highly enough.

The flat is truly lovely, super clean, beds very comfortable and hosts accommodating. If you are traveling with small children, plan carefully for your day of arrival as there are not restaurants or grocery stores in easy walking distance for a little one. Options - bring a stroller, rent a bicycle with a child seat on your way in (the hosts have bikes to rent but no child seat), stop and get groceries at the train station before going to the flat, or be prepared to go for a walk and bus ride with your little one after arrival. Once you have bicycles the location is great, lovely ride into the centre of town, playground right across the street, a little animal farm nearby, and a swimming complex for hot days. In addition to the standard kiddie tourist spots across the river, De cuevel cafe is really fun and so is the film museum restaurant (lots of stairs for kids to climb up and down and a lovely view and nice food for adults).
The flat is conveniently located a 5 minute walk then a short bus ride from the city centre. The flat would be fine for families with older children but it isn't suitable for under 5's.
Couple in their early 20's first holiday together, first holiday rental also and could not of been any more perfect. The apartment and garden are absolutely beautiful and spotlessly clean/neat. Close enough to central Amsterdam for a 15/20 min walk on a nice day or get a short bus if you're feeling lazy. Chilled out in the apartment, the balcony and the gorgeous lake 2seconds over the road like we were at home when we felt like quiet time. Owner is so friendly and helpful, great communication with us before hand and were more than happy to chat and show us about when we arrived.
