Our tour with Naomi Koopmans was the highlight of our trip to Amsterdam. Her walking tour was both a delight and highly informative. Naomi is an articulate expert in the history of Jewish Amsterdam. If we had done a tour of the Anne Frank Museum alone, we would have been left with far more questions than answers. Naomi gave us a great historical picture of how and from where the Jews arrived, the synagogues they built, what life was like for early Jews in Amsterdam and the prequel to the Holocaust. She took us to the most important places of Jewish life. She filled in the picture of the Jewish experience before, during and after the Holocaust. Naomi incorporates a visit to the Anne Frank Museum into a most memorable experience. That deeper understanding, made The Diary and Anne Frank's experience all the more meaningful. We highly recommend this to everyone who visits Amsterdam.
