Description: Our bread is made today exactly as it was in the beginning: with only organic stone-ground flour, salt, and water, kneaded and shaped by hand and baked in a hearth under the watchful eye of artisan bakers. We insist on the freshest and finest ingredients. If we can't find them, we make them ourselves. Our shelves are lined with the products we've created: the jams and chocolate spreads on the communal table, the granola in your parfait, the coffee that fills your bowl.

This is a great place for lunch on the run. Fresh, fast and fantastic. There is a wonderful communal table that didn't take long to strike up a conversation, of you can have a table of your own - either way there is a great atmosphere. The bread is out of this world and the service was friendly

Great atmosphere on a busy Sunday morning, great choice. We ordered boiled eggs - soft, they took ages and were raw, second try one soft one hard boiled but we ate them. Neighbouring table also sent raw eggs back. Loads of bread too - too much, it would have been nice as we waited so long if they had brought us extra coffee but they didn't - I would give it another try though

Delicious breakfast breads, croissants and tarts, omelettes and granola, coffees, espressos and teas, wines and beers, lunch salads and tartines (open faced sandwiches) and wonderful sharing platters. What more could you want? Service, that's what. And they deliver in spades with attractive friendly young women and men who seem to delight in their jobs. Although this is a chain, you wouldn't know it. It has the look and feel of a neighborhood bistro and it's full of neighborhood people. A great place for breakfast or lunch. Delighted to find out there are five of these in the Washington DC area. I wonder if they can match the Dutch for great atmosphere and food?

Everything you see here (almost) you can buy; the plates, the ingredients and of course coffé and goodies etc. Place both inside and outside and a second floor with stairs for more people.
