The Weavery is the perfect place for people who don't really like hotels. The suite on the top floor is more of a small apartment, with its own staircase, kitchen facilities, two double beds (one high up in the eaves), bathroom, sitting area and a roof terrace. It has all been expertly designed with comfortable and carefully chosen furnishings to create a really wonderful place to stay, especially during the dark, stormy days of late winter. It's also perfectly placed for cultural and gastronomic pursuits. From Bettina's fantastic baking and recommendations (not to mention the bottle of Prosecco in the fridge), we really couldn't fault it.

Bettina owns the Weavery with her husband Driss, but she is the heart of the business from the first e-mail you receive, to the restaurant recommendations, or booking our dinner reservation for us, nothing is to much trouble for her. The first class customer service continues when you arrive, taking time to mark things on the map, baking apple cake and biscuits and leaving them in the suite for you on your return, homemade jams with the very filling breakfast, and the pastries, hot rolls and soft boiled eggs left outside the suite at whatever time you decide. The suite itself is lovely, on the top floor with a roof patio, which was peaceful and relaxing sitting outside with a cup of coffee. Room is spotless, small kitchen with a microwave, nespresso coffee maker, fridge which is stocked everyday with your breakfast stuff. Very comfy bed, and as mentioned in other reviews a lavender aromatherapy pouch to go under your pillow. Also supplied are ear plugs, and on the Saturday night we did hear some revelers returning, but they were doing their best to let as much of Amsterdam hear them as they could, but on Sunday and Monday night heard no noise at all. Bathroom is beautiful with a bath and separate shower. Location is perfect, a short stroll to the Museum district or Leidseplein, and Trams 16 & 24 passing at the bottom of the street, taking you to the flower market, Dam square and Central station. If you stay at the Weavery you will be treated as more than just a customer from the moment you book to the time it comes to check out.

Stayed at this B&B for a couple days in the Silk Suite. The establishment is run very professionally and with exceptional attention to detail. It's on a very quaint street in close proximity to restaurants, bars and cafes. Amsterdam's main shopping street (Leidsestraat) is only a short stroll away. Room was well appointed and the owners will try their best to accommodate and meet any additional requests. Breakfast was adequate and of high quality. My only concern was sleep quality as you could hear people coming back home late at night. Not a big deal for sound sleepers and ear plugs were provided. I recommend this B&B and would stay here again.

This boutique B&B is one of the nicest places I have stayed in all the times I have visited Holland. Bettina and Driss are wonderful hosts - from helping carrying our heavy suitcases two flights up, to making dinner reservations and booking cabs for us. The Weavery can be found in an excellent location, close to the Rijksmuseum and Foam as well as many lovely cafe's, restaurants and shops. I loved the Nine Streets area, which is walking distance from the B&B and has many cool boutiques and bars. We stayed in the attic room which is so cosy, you can't believe it. I could have just stayed in the whole time really! Breakfast was left outside the door to our room at whatever time we wanted it, delicious breads and pastries, soft boiled eggs etc. The fridge was stocked with sliced hams and cheeses, water and some champagne to bring the new year in! The room has some lovely touches - an incredible shower, Moroccan style tiles, artwork with a nod to Vermeer. They use Cocomat bedding which is exceptional. On our pillow was an aromatherapy lavender pouch to put under your pillow at night. There is a rooftop terrace adjoining the room which I imagine would be fab in the summer. The accommodation was perfect and I am really fussy, believe me. One last thing, apart from the 24 hour fireworks on New Year's Eve, we did not hear any noise at all during our stay. It's a nice quiet street, not on a main thoroughfare so hardly any traffic, just the odd tinkle of a bicycle!

We cannot recommend this wonderful accommodation & thoughtful hosts enough! Stayed for 4 nights in Dec 2013. Benitta & Driss were so helpful & lovely - helping us with luggage up the very narrow stairs, sharing local suggestions for dinners/markets, organising for our washing to be picked up & delivered back in same day, delivering little surprises of home baked Christmas treats......and the apartment (we had the top floor suite) - WOW - just spectacular! They thought of everything. So comfortable, clean & well appointed. Beautiful toiletry products, necessary kitchen supplies, nespresso machine (with decaf coffee for pregnant me), cleaned every day, quiet.....really did NOT want to leave ever!

Room Tip: Don't choose the top floor suite if mobility issues, otherwise you get used to the narrow/steep...

We spent 4 nights in the Silk room at the Weavery over a long weekend in Amsterdam. In summary, it feels like home!

The charming couple and hosts, Bettina and Driss were very kind and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. They welcomed us in their home, gave us hints and recommendations to enrich our stay. Their perfect sense for details, the decoration of the room, the home made cookies and the freshness of the bedsheets and towels made our stay exquisite!

The neighborhood is quiet and residential, the house is located in the middle of the main attractions: Anne Frank House, principal museums (5 minutes walking distance from Rijksmuseum), shopping streets (all around the corners) and great restaurants and cafés.

We would definitively recommend this place to any travelers looking for a different experience from the common and mainstream hotels that can be found in any large european city.

Room Tip: The Silk room is perfect for a couple. It is located at the street level but as the street is very q...

We stayed 4 nights in the Suite at the Weavery. It is located in a beautiful residential area and it is very near to the museums and the shopping streets. The room is very well furnished with a mini kitchen(microwave, utensils etc) and a Nespresso machine. Bettina is an excellent host who takes time to go through with us the nice restaurants to go to and marks them down on the map as well as giving us advices on when to visit the museums as there is usually a long queue at the Rijksmuseum (to go early in the morning) and the Anne Frank Museum(to go late in the evening)

Bettina & family, thank you very much for making us feel sooo much at home when we were staying at The Weavery. Special thanks to your dad who has helped to carry our huge luggage up the winding and steep staircase...as well as the yummy home baked apple muffins. We love everything about the room, from the comfy and clean bed, to the nice chillout area in front of the tv, the nice balcony and the winding, steep staircase!
