We had a very good experience at Hotel Espresso. The hotel was new, bright, clean, and modern. The room was small but not cramped, and the bathroom was modern and pleasant. The location is good - about a five minute walk from the Leidseplein neighborhood and even closer to the main museums. The front desk staff was helpful. One suggestion - given the name, one of those capsule espresso makers in the lobby (or even the room!) with free espresso would be a nice touch. (There was real espresso for sale in the lobby, and a regular coffee-maker in the room).

We booked this hotel for a very good price for our 5 night stay and I'm quite happy about it overall. Our room seemed very clean, modern and new. Nice comfortable and roomy shower and on the fifth floor we had a nice view of Amsterdam too. Quite elaborate and nice breakfast. The only thing I missed was a small fridge to store some drinks in (grocery store nearby) but maybe that's something you shouldn't expect from a 3 star hotel. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

We chose this hotel due to price and location and made a good choice!
Party of girls we had a number of rooms, all of which were exceptionally clean and very very comfy beds! Not big rooms but adequate enough.

Coffee machine avail downstairs at all times for great espresso/lattes etc.

Very helpful friendly staff.

Seems reasonably walkable to most places eg leidsplein sq in ten mins, quite close to hard rock etc and is on the tram line. We mainly went to Dam square and cab back was about €11 we choose this area for hotel as researched best place for nightlife/ bars etc however we nearly always ended up at Dam sq! Great club there by the way - Escape - we went on there website and booked meal, glass bubbly and VIP entrance was excellent value and would highly recommend.

Good all around budget hotel. think paid about £60-£70 a night approx.
Only downside was quite noisy, people in v late and others up v early etc but can't do much about that.

Room Tip: Think all rooms are the same!

Was staying with my student-daughter who was apt-hunting in Amsterdam. Great location and easy access to every part of Amsterdam (not just the tourist-centre) The bus from the airport stops just 2 min from the hotel. Was upgraded on arrival and had a brilliant room, incl all the little things that makes life easier; hooks for the towels, great reading lamps in bed and 2 good chairs beside the bed. Good breakfast, but a little too high priced as all hotel breakfasts are.
The staff was extremely professional, nice and caring. My daughter got ill during our stay and the staff was very helpful all the time. Our 3 nights stay turned out to be 4 nights, due to illness, and it was a good hotel to be in under the circumstances. Pharmacy, supermarket and ATM on the same block. The doctor they arranged was good and came within a short time.
We will probably visit Amsterdam frequently the next 2 yrs and will definitely use this hotel again and also recommend it to all others traveling to Amsterdam.
A very good hotel at a very good price! Thank you for all your help.

The brand new Hotel Espresso is a small, very affordable and well located property in Amsterdam Museum District, ideal for business trips or short city breaks.
The rooms are small but well furnished and the bathroom, equipped with a shower, has enough size for two. Overall cleanliness is good.
The employees are friendly and the breakfast is quite good for a 3 star hotel.
You can walk or get a tram to Amsterdam city center and the bus stop that connects the airport is at a five minute walking distance from the hotel. You can also find a convenient supermarket as well as many nice restaurants and coffe bars nearby.

This is a new hotel in Amsterdam. Paid £60 per night per room very reasonable. Rooms adequate size. All mod cons. Fairly dental on tram line. Took 10minutes walk to centre. Really impressed for price.

Room Tip: We asked for quiet room at back of hotel and was pleased with room 502 which was on top floor at bac...

Good location, calm and away of the crowds. Not exactly central but close enough to the center. Tram lines, Leidsplein and museum square in just a few min walk. It’s like an improved IBIS.
Despite being brand new, the room had already some downsides. Carpet was damaged and windows didn’t close properly and we could feel the cold entering the room. Traffic noise was also unpleasant. But I guess we got for what we pay for.
