“Freen snacks & soft drinks!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2014

The free snacks and soft drinks in your room are really nice touches as well as the free wine in the library between 5pm and 7pm. Hard to beat, right?

Located on a quiet canal within walking distance to everything Amsterdam has to offer. Rooms are highly decorated but very comfortable. The bathroom Is very different and yet user friendly. A great experience.

What a gem in the middle of Amsterdam! It's convenient to everything and such a wonderful respite in the middle of all the hustle and bustle that is Amsterdam. Since we got there by taxi, I'm not sure where you would park if you rented a car. All parking in the city is limited! But grab a bike (they are offered at the hotel) and take a ride! You are close enough to everything to explore to your heart's delight. And walking everywhere is a great option also! The rooms here are small but designed in such a way that you are enchanted by the use of space. So modern and comfortable! I love this place and would gladly recommend it to everyone. I'd love to make another visit soon!

My husband and I stayed at the Andaz for New Year's 2014. The location is superb - right on the Prinsengracht canal - upgrade to a canal view room! - and around the corner from the nine streets district. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The rooms are brilliantly decorated and do a fabulous job of bringing in the culture of Amsterdam into the decor. We spent New Year's at the Bluespoon - excellent meal - and then just hung out at the bar for the remainder of the night. It was a great place to view all of the fireworks going on - and safe enough away from some of them. New Year's in Amsterdam is definitely a must see, and the Andaz helped make it so memorable!

Room Tip: Upgrade to a canal view.

Just got back from a two night stay at the Andaz - what a fabulous place to stay. We had a canal vowel room which was beautiful, the staff are fabulous, nothing is too much for them, they made us feel so welcome. The free snacks and soft drinks in your room are really nice touches as well as the free wine in the library between 5pm and 7pm. This is also one of the quietest city hotels we have ever stayed in and yet it is located close to all the key tourist areas. I can highly recommend this hotel.

I've been to Amsterdam 6+ times, but this was by far the best experience. Located on a quiet canal within walking distance to everything Amsterdam has to offer.

As is typical with all their hotels the Andaz removes the walls and barriers for a welcoming environment. From the red tulip chairs in the lobby to the updated blue and white delft inspired wallpaper, this place screams trendy!

Unfortunately parking is extremely expensive. If you can ditch the rental car before checking in - It's highly recommended

We especially liked the cookies and wine at happy hour.

You won't be disappointed

A very fine hotel befitting the city of amesterdam. I loved every thing about the hotel, the service, food, decor, art, and the creativity of Marcel Wanders. Location of the hotel is excellent, it is on a quiter part of canal and is still very close to all the places of interest. Rooms are highly decorated but very comfortable. The bathroom Is very different and yet user friendly. A great experience.

Room Tip: Canal facing rooms offer a great view, this is Amsterdam

Beautiful hotel on a midway canal ring. The rooms are updated Amsterdam chic. There are references to Dutch history throughout the hotel. The location is quiet which is a plus in noisy Amsterdam but it is just a quick walk to the center of town. Breakfast is not included and can be pricey. There are very few restaurants that serve breakfast early in Amsterdam so take this into consideration. Although the rooms are not large, they are functional. The bathroom set up (room and bathroom flow together) is always fun for a hotel stay though it does offer just a but less privacy when you are getting ready in the morning or at bedtime.
