Very beautiful and elegant hotel with impeccable service. Our family stayed in a suite #218 and a regular room #217. The rooms are very modern with chic furnitures. Bedding is excellent , very good for your sleep.
Location is ideal as it is 10 minutes walk to Ann Frank Huis , 5 minutes to Leidsenplein , 15 minutes to the Dam Square.
Lots of good dining options nearby with some excellent restaurants in proximity such as Envy , Xinh (Vietnamese) , ,Zo & Wok (Spelling ?) .
The staff was fabulous , extremely helpful ,especially Rianna.
All in all ,a great experience .
I definitely intend to come back on my future visit.

Modern sultry boutique hotel in beautiful Amsterdam. Beautiful rooms overlooking canals. Delicious food and farm style brunch. Happy hour wines every evening overlooking canals and people watching. This is the best hotel in Amsterdam.
Bike the city with local bikes. Easy to get everywhere. Great restaurants everywhere.

Room Tip: There's a bus that stops 10 minutes from the hotel from airport. Ask for bikes from hotel.there...

Very good. Stunning design of rooms and reception. Hotel staff are very helpful and fast. Nice breakfasts with hot courses.
The only backward was a smell of sewerage from the shower. But it didn't spoilt the very nice impression about the hotel.

Stayed here and other places on our most recent trip to Amsterdam and it was our favorite of the hotels we stayed in. Outside blends in with canal houses' facades, but the inside is lovely, with a "surreal glamor" sort of theme - interior design taken to the max but not quite too far. Room felt spacious and had incredible canal views through giant windows. Free minibar was nice. Free wine in the evenings was nicer. Can't say the service in the bar was very good, but hard to complain when there was free wine available elsewhere. Only other problem was a lack of a dedicated concierge - asking the same people to check guests in, take care of problems, and also give directions seemed to be asking too much, and their recommendations were only so-so. On the whole, it was really a great experience, a pretty good value for the quality/location, and would be great for a romantic getaway.

I absolutely loved the historic, yet updated feel of this great property! We loved our room, even without a canal view, having the sink and dressing table in the middle of the room actually made getting ready so much easier for us! There was always someone immediately available for any requests we had, and everyone was extremely helpful. Location is a quick walk to 9 Streets and easily accessible to public transport to get back to the train station to catch your flight. While we never ate at the hotel, we did stop by the bar on the way in every night to try one of their fabulous specialty drinks in their comfortable, but stylish bar. If we return to Amsterdam, we will definitely stay at the Andaz again and hopefully test out their spa!

We stayed at Andaz in Prinsengracht for 3 nights from 1st - 4th July. We arrived at the hotel around 10am, we had requested an early check in, and were sat down and made comfortable with a drink while we waited for the room. This took an hour which we felt was a long time to wait, especially when we wanted to start exploring the city, but this certainly did not give us any doubts about this stunning hotel, we were checked in with an ipad which was quick and easy.

We went to the room to find that we had been upgraded from a Garden view room to a Canal view room which we were very happy with. We loved everything about the quirky design of the room. The sink and dressing table area are in the middle of the room, this caused no splashed or mess on the floor so was functional as well as stylish. The shower room is mirrored, you could not see the person in the shower if you were in the bedroom area so we found this more than private enough. Robes and slippers were provided which we thought was a great touch. We made full use of the free healthy mini bar which was restocked each day. The tea and coffee making facilities were also fantastic, I loved the Nespresso machine!

We were staying at the hotel for a birthday celebration, we came back in the evening to find macaroons and a lovely little birthday message, which we loved.
The housekeeping staff were fantastic and serviced the room twice a day!

Breakfast was great and there is always a large choice. We had paid for this in advance so did not feel it was unreasonably priced, the cafes just outside your doorstep are great though and very reasonably priced so don't feel as though you have to go for the bed and breakfast option.

The reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and it seemed as though nothing was too much trouble for them. They were always happy to give directions and suggest the best route for seeing other sights along the way.

The complimentary wine in the library was a lovely addition, for those like us who do not drink there was tea, coffee, water and juice too which really did cater for everybody.

The hotel was situated in a stunning location, probably my favourite part of the city, with beautiful and quirky one off stores and boutique style shops, along with lovely little restaurants and cafes.
We did not use public transport once on our trip so we cannot comment on that, we waked everywhere, this really worked for us as we stumbled across some lovely parks and shops that we may not have seen from a bus or tram. The hotel was very central and nowhere was too far to walk.

Overall we loved this stunning hotel and will not hesitate to book again on our next trip to our new favourite city!

Room Tip: Our canal view room on the first floor was stunning.

The exterior might be 'ex council library' functional but as soon as you pass the Alice in Wonderland doors between the entrance and reception you'll realise this is a very different hotel. From its crazy hanging installations in the lobby to bedrooms with huge fish/spoon artworks over the bed, this is a place to let your imagination run wild!

Make no mistake, however, Andaz is still a fully functioning modern hotel, perfectly placed to explore the city but equally top notch for business too.

It sits right on the banks of Prinsengracht, one of Amsterdam's three main canals. It's about 10 minutes' walk to Dam Square and 4 minutes from trams that take you either into the city or out to the museums and the airport.

Suspend belief when you step through the looking glass - sorry, doors - and enjoy the ride!

Room Tip: Canal rooms have the best view but there may be some noise from the revellers on the canal boats if...
