This restaurant is right next to some top entertainment venues e,g. Bijlmer Arena, Heineken Music Hall, and Pathe cinemas. The atmosphere is better than average but not spectacular. It's a decent price for some very good quality sushi, especially given the area (30-40 Euro for 2). I tend to find upstairs on the left hand side more relaxing as there's big cushioned seats, BUT MAKE RESERVATIONS especially on an event night. If you can get the table upstairs, left hand side, close to the window then you'll have a nice quiet spot away from the kitchen, coat check and bathrooms. Plus, this spot is perfect for "people watching" while you unwind after work.

This is a very good restaurant for a nice meal before going to a match, concert or cinema. The service is very friendly and correct, and the food is good. THe food is a nice mix of traditional japanese sushi, sashimi, teppanyakki and more modern fusion style bits. Even when it is really busy the service is still fast.

The decoration is a very appealing modern japanese style and it is clean and neat. Very recommendable!

Been here a few times, it's close to where I work. I've been here twice in the past week, both times the company was paying!

Fantastic ambiance, not traditional Japanese, but modern.

The location is in the Amsterdam Arena area, so close to the stadium, the concert venues, Villa Arena, and the Amsterdam Port. It's right by the metro station.

Personally, it's not somewhere I would travel out from Amsterdam centre for, there are a few better ones in the city.

Food wise, some traditional Japanese items, including traditional sushi and sashimi, and some modern, western style sushi dishes. Always very well presented and generally pretty good. The fish seems fresh, and if available, try the yellow tail sashimi.

Their wasabe isn't very good, not very hot.

They have some hot dishes, like tempura, noodles and rice, in my opinion, their sushi and sashimi are better than their hot dishes, I find their noodles overcooked, and some of the smaller dishes are not home made, but from one of the Asian pre-prepared suppliers. Things like the noodle soup bases are not very well flavoured, out of a packet I reckon.

Prices are competitive, better than some of the central Japanese that are worse (see some of my other reviews).

They have a selection of sake, Japanese beers and for the ladies, the all important plum wine.
