Run, do not walk, directly to this restaurant with an empty tummy and you will be delighted with what you find here! This is a branch of the Pieminister restaurant from the UK and I'm glad they opened here in Amsterdam, spring of 2012. You'll be warmly greeted not only by the servers but by the inviting smells of delicious meat pies of all types. We (two of us) had their daily special which included Brit-basics like mashed potatoes, mushy minty peas, the best meat pie I ever had garnished with melted cheese, onion bits and gravy. Have a Heineken on the side (heck, you ARE in Amsterdam after all) and you'll have the perfect cheap-eat that will leaving you full until the next morning. The place was very clean and gezellig (cozy) but ample room to enjoy your meal and drink. Very quiet considering the extremely busy road it's located on. I wish I had gone back one more time before heading back home, though!
