“Petit dej parfait”
Reviewed January 27, 2014 via mobile

I went there with my boyfriend to take a breakfast. First, the location and the decoration inside are very cosy and very good. The breakfast was very good, we could feel that it was fresh products and well cooked. We will definitely come back next time we go to Amsterdam.

“Had the best breakfast in months here”
Reviewed January 14, 2014

Wasn't disappointed here. Had the veggie breakfast, it was a bit on the oily side but absolutely delicious. The homemade soda bread is absolutely divine, a must order. Washed it down with some lovely fresh mint tea and honey. Thoroughly enjoyed breakfast/brunch here.

The cafe itself is very small, cosy and quaint, waiters had to squeeze past the rows of tables. Lovely atmosphere.

Definitely recommend.

“Absolutely cannot poach an egg”
Reviewed January 12, 2014 via mobile

We went here specifically for Eggs Benedict on a Saturday morning. Cozy place with typical Dutch service. When the waiter brought our meals I eagerly cut into my eggs only to find a very hard and dry yolk inside. All four eggs the same, and looking around at other tables, everyone had the same experience. Seems it is the norm, as the waiter only smirked when we told him about it. We didn't expect a re-do, it is Amsterdam after all, but some acknowledgement of my lack of satisfaction might make me consider trying here again. Alas, I won't be coming back. The bright spot of the meal was the soda bread. Fantastic and the best choice you can make.

“good and bad made a balance”
Reviewed January 2, 2014

Hearty portions, some items were very good (loved my lamb burger and we all liked the quality of tea), service was adequate. My fries (potato wedges) were burnt (inedible really) and it was very crampt and crowded. English breakfast could have been better, but the mushrooms were truly lovely.

My advice (assuming the management is reading): expand, raise the bar for quality (better sausages, beans, french press tea pots... my tea was good but started off weak and ended up too strong) and maybe raise the price a bit (if you have to ;).

I could tell they'd have had the business if there was another waitress and twice as many seats.

“excellent Brunch”
Reviewed December 28, 2013

Amazing Brunch, its a little oasis, good food, friendly staff, great service.
it was Raining, when we entered they hung up our coats to be dried, got us a hot drink straight away, food didn't take long even though the place was busy.
