“perfect b&b!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 22, 2013

Frank and Oki run a beautiful and comfortable B&B. From the moment we arrived they were extremely friendly, helpful and kind. From wonderful local restaurant recommendations to thoughtful suggestions, they are the ultimate hosts. The location of the B&B is perfect -- close enough to walk everywhere, but on a refreshing and quiet street a few blocks away from the bustle of city center. The in-room amenities were wonderful - an updated and gorgeous bathroom, tea and coffee service, a balcony overlooking the beautiful garden, and of course THE most comfortable bed in Europe! We enjoyed every minute of our trip in Amsterdam, due in large part to their hospitality and the comfort of their home. We can't wait to visit again!

Le Quartier Sonang provided marvelous accommodations, delightful breakfasts and is conveniently located within easy walking distance to all the sights and museums in Amsterdam. What more could one ask for? Equally marvelous and delightful hosts. Oki and Frank made our stay at their bed and breakfast the most pleasurable we've had at a bed and breakfast in some time. They were gracious and attentive. Their recommended restaurants were enjoyable. They made us to feel at home. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: There are two rooms. Our room faced the street but there was no problem with noise.

We stayed at this B&B for 10 nights in April, we enjoyed and loved every thing about this place. It is strategically located, in a nice quite suburb walking distance to the city centre surrounded by interesting cafes and restaurants. Our room was the one facing the road. It was bright, beautifully furnished and nicely decorated, spacious with a small seating/dining area, spotlessly clean with modern bathroom and a heavenly comfortable large bed. Delicious and healthy breakfast, the croissants were amazing. But the most enjoyable thing that made us feel so comfortable staying in this place was the friendly and hospitality of the owners : Oki and Frank. They were so helpful providing us with insightful information and recommendations about interesting places in Amsterdam. They provided services beyond and above what we expected from a B&B, even from a five star hotel: the web links to museums they sent before we left for Amsterdam so that we could book the tickets without standing in the queue for too long, the welcome champagne on the first day we arrived, chocolates on the bed accompanied with sweet cards welcomed us every evening. They even picked up our laundry from a laundromat nearby and put them in the room..!
Thanks to Oki and Frank, we have a home in Amsterdam now. I highly recommend this place to anyone who likes to stay in a place with all extras, personal touches and hospitality you wouldn’t find from any other places.
Absolutely love this place !

After reading other Trip Advisor reviews, I chose this beautiful Bed & Breakfast and we were not disappointed. It is well located and in walking distance to everything, being just outside the city centre it was soooo quiet. We had the front room overlooking the street, it was just perfect. Beautifully furnished and spotless clean. Oki and Frank were the best hosts, so welcoming. We were there on Queens Day weekend, they even surprised us with some orange attire for the big day! Breakfasts were so yum, we looked forward to them each morning. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The beds are really like sleeping on a cloud!

Booked this B&B after reading all the positive comments from others. They were not wrong! Oki and Frank are the most welcoming hosts. Nothing was too much trouble for them and there were some personal touches that you just wouldn't routinely receive in a hotel.
We had the room overlooking the garden and it was gorgeous, spacious and spotlessly clean. We were served breakfast in our room each morning and it was delicious - fresh fruits, pastries and an on- going supply of tea/coffee (which was also available in the room 24/7).
Getting to the accommodation from the airport was very easy -one bus and a short walk. The location is also very good and the majority of the main attractions can be reached on foot within 10 to 25 minutes.
We will definitely return in the future and have no hesitation in recommending
Le Quartier Sonang.

From the moment you walk in the door you are made to feel welcome by Oki& Frank. The room is large with the most comfortable bed, the bathroom is spacious with underfloor heating, we left our hand washing to dry their each night. The room is on the first floor with only one flight of stairs to negotiate.
This is a big bonus as the stairs in most Amsterdam buildings are very steep and narrow.Breakfast is brought to your room each morning and is extremely good with freshly squeezed orange juice, fruit compote, yogurt and croissants and various spreads.
The location is excellent with a supermarket 200 metres away, excellent restaurants within 5 minutes walk or less.
The Rjiksmuseum and Van Gogh museum are a 10 minute walk , leidesplein transport hub for buses and trams is 5 minutes walk.
I could not have wished for a better place to stay in Amsterdam.

We stayed at this B&B from 19 - 26 April, 2013. The service was second to none! Frank and Oki went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible - nothing was not possible. Recommended without hesitation as the best B&B I have ever stayed in. And frankly the experience beats other forms of accommodation in many respects. When next in Amsterdam, this is the place I will stay at!
