“Zeedijk is Amsterdam's China town”
Reviewed April 12, 2013

This is Amsterdam small Chinatown.
A narrow long street that in the northern part of it is actually China town. It has many Chinese food places and even a cheese temple

“ZEEDIJK HAS RECEIVED A FACELIFT”
Reviewed April 5, 2013

After many years of renovations the Zeedijk has been restored to its former glory. You will find many excellent fusion restaurants and some interesting Chinese shops here.

“China Town - Amsterdam Style”
Reviewed April 1, 2013

I'm lucky enough to have a family member living on this street so it's where I reside when visiting Amsterdam and I love it ....

Being the China Town of Amsterdam it has no end of restaurants but not just Chinese - Thai, Indonesian to name a few. Don't like Asian food? You can just grab your self a steak or ribs and there are plenty of places to grab a beer. It leads you directly to Nieuwmarkt at the bottom, Centraal Station at the top and the Red Light District around the middle! Also be sure to check out the temple which towards the Nieuwmarkt.

Needless to say the architecture is pretty impressive, look up and admire the buildings leaning forwards and sidewards, but watch out for the bikes!!

“Eat Street”
Reviewed February 4, 2013

Great place to grab a meal with an oriental flavor. Lots of choices. Do not be put off by the basic penny pinching design of most of the restaurants. It is to keep the prices down. Convenient to central station it is a safe street purely for the reason that there are so many people just like you. People going there to eat or have a drink or on the way to somewhere else. This is a busy pedestrian street. Heaving on a weekend evening.
Always interesting. Skip the canals and the RLD and take this route to the Niewmarket.

“Amsterdam's chinatown”
Reviewed February 1, 2013

Street near Nieuwemarkt full of Asian restaurants as well as building. The Chinese temple in the street is rather fascinating. You can stop in one of the countless Thai, Chinese or Malaysian food places, some of which are true treasures. Also if you need to buy ingredients for cooking something Asian, you can find it here in one of the small Asian supermarkets.
