I wouldn't say this market offers anything unusual or exciting. I got a scarf so actually i will give it another point!

This market was situated round the corner from our apartment so we visited once we unpacked to see what was to hand.

Really decent market, has the usual stalls food, fruit, clothes and little brick a bracks. Everything we saw was reasonably priced. Lots of food to choose from and we even picked a few bits up like scarves and jumpers and had a bite to eat.

Pleased this is close by as will be using it for my lunch pitstops, etc.

This market is not glamorous but it is real. There are numerous stalls selling all manner of goods, from toiletries, flowers and rolls of fabric to fresh meat, fish and vegetables, as well as Amsterdam souvenirs of every kind imaginable. There are also lots of food options if you want to eat and walk. Lots of reviews on here recommend getting a stroopwaffel and I wholeheartedly agree - make sure you go to one of the stalls where they make it fresh in front of you. They cost around €1.50 each and are delicious.
Is it a bit tacky? Most definitely, in places, but it’s fun and there’s loads of stuff to browse through so I’d say it’s well worth a visit.

we had heard this was a no miss experience however we went to an organic market in the Jordaan district the day before and that was much more authentic and interesting. this had a lot of kitschy booths along with the produce. it was fine but wouldn't go back

We were on the hop on/off canal tour and got off on stop 1 and spent about 1.5 hours in the market area. Got a wonderful chicken sandwich and the waffles....yum! Not a fancy place but fun.

Saw this on a few Ads as being a great traditional market - take the metro 52 to De Puip and you’re there. It’s basically one long stretch of food and trinkets - good stroopwaffles available too (see picture for best) - some seats no in places but not much - ok but not anything special

Don’t eat before you get here! I had the best stroopwaffles here. And amazing olives! Really worth a look if you’re in the neighborhood.

Albert Cuyp is a market worthy of the name and well worth a visit. From clothing to 'old world' advertising posters, second hand goods and market curios. There is something for everyone in the market.

Sitting close to the Bloemen Market and next to the Rembrandthuis Museum - the market is close to the centre and a visit would be worthwhile when in Amsterdam.

Every time we go to Amsterdam this is a mandatory stop for us. This is where I get my postcards and souvenirs and get to eat delicious kibbeling, friet, buttery poffertjes as well as baklava. Yum!
