“Nice enough for a short stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2014

Great location, friendly receptionist that checked us in promptly. Hotel a little dated but clean enough for a 3*. Stayed in a quadruple room which was a little small however wasn't a problem as we literally only slept at the hotel.Breakfast was ok nothing special but filled the gap. Only bad point was the 2nd floor landing smelt of sewers at night and bleach in the day.

The location of the hotel made up for the small and noisy room (121) that was situated on the main corridor. The breakfast was good, with lots of options. Lockers for storage of luggage after check out were also very helpful.

Rooms are comfortable. The day we were due to leave too we were supposed to be out room for 11am. They let us keep our room on until 12.30pm as I wasn't feeling very well which was good of them, the hotel also let us keep our luggage in the hotel as our flight wasn't until night time. Breakfast is very basic but eadible.

We arrived at the hotel at 11 AM and were pleasantly surprised that were immediately checked-in. Check-in was fast and efficient.
The rooms are very basis but more than sufficient for a short week-end getaway. Pls be ready that the same category rooms can be very different depending on the location in the building.
It was pretty cold in the room and we complained to Front Desk. It was fixed with no problems but we realized that heating is turned on upon demand from guests.
We were very happy about hotel location -> we were right in the middle of most things in the city.
Very nice breakfast -> in terms of selection/quality of food and helpfulness of the breakfast staff.
We forgot to print our airline tickets and Front Desk staff was kind to print that for us at the last day of our stay. Also, our flight back was late in the evening and we found that luggage storage room of the hotel was very handy -> we could leave our luggage with the hotel and enjoy the city for few more hours.
Summarizing the above -> nice 3 star hotel, very good for a week-end in Amsterdam.

I arrived at the hotel about 8:30AM in the morning. Knowing the check in time is not until 12 noon, I asked if there is a place I can leave our luggage while we start our tour of the city. Just after the front desk took our luggage, a staff by the name Aziz came and convinced the front desk to prepare a room for us right away. While waiting for the room to be ready this person served us coffee, tea, hot chocolate and biscuits!

We got the room as we requested on the upper floors facing the front. After I made the booking, I sent them an email on my request and it was promptly answered. The hospitality and service are top notch for a 3 star hotel.

The location of the hotel is perfect. We arrived on train from the airport and the Central Station is just like 5 minutes away. We purchased 48 hours hop on hop off bus tickets and the starting point is also like 5 minutes away. With the bus ticket, you can take a guided tour of the city as well as using it as your main mode of transportation. For shopping, Dam square is a stone throw away. Red light district is near but for those with small children don't have to worry because it is not around the hotel. Coffee shops are plenty behind the hotel.

The room we had was big enough for four and good enough for the low price we paid. Breakfast selection was good and I love the croissant! I strongly recommend the hotel for anyone.

All you need. Comfortable bed like sleeping on a cloud. Central station 5min walk. 5min walk to canal cruise office. Easy to walk to most places you may want to visit. Our room was at the front near the main road. No double glazing but couldn't hear a thing. Breakfast was good. Large selection of cold and hot options

The hotel is one among the many hotels that are available just across the Amsterdam Central Station. I booked this hotel choosing this to be the best hotel in my budget of less of 100 Euros, after reading several reviews. Got a deal of 80 Euro per night including breakfast.

The hotel is a simple no-nonsense hotel right across the railway station. Check in was smooth, even though the clerk in the reception was strange. When queried what to visit in Amsterdam, his reply was Amsterdam is only famous for sex and drugs. Anyway, rooms are small and there is not much room to even put your suitcase. But there is a comfortable bed, a working desk, safe, a small closet and even some tea/coffee sachets (No water). The bathrooms are spacious with even a tub. Hot water is available 24hrs. Sufficient towels are provided.

They give free Wifi. But the internet is very slow and it keeps getting disconnected. I got so frustrated, i shutdown my laptop. The breakfast is ok, for a hotel of its standard.

So on the whole, if you are travelling alone on a limited budget and just staying for a day or two, then this hotel is a good choice. But if you are travelling as a family or on a long visit, would not recommend it.
