Stayed here 4 nights. Staff very helpful, our three person room very clean and comfortable. Given the very central location our room was pretty quiet (306). Breakfast buffet fine (eggs, meat, cheese, cakes, bread, fruit, sausages, baked beans, cereals etc) but space very restricted. Tea and coffee in rooms. TVA with some BBC channels as well as CNN, Fr, Sp, Ger and Dutch. Great wifi. Very near Amsterdam Centraal station (so easy to get to airport, 15mins on train plus 5 mins to hotel) but also red light district. On balance a great location though maybe a bit edgy and street dirty in morning. Not a problem, just go the other way!

Room Tip: Ask for quiet room

Excellent small hotel right in the heart of Amsterdam. Rooms were comfortable, pleasant and a good size. We were a little worried that it would be noisy overnight but due to the excellent air conditioning and therefore closed windows we couldn't hear anything from the busy street outside at all ! The location is brilliant - just a couple of minutes walk from Central Station and right in the heart of Amsterdam. I have stayed in several Amsterdam hotels over the years but will definitely return to this one.

Only one bad thing about staying here, we arrived in the morning after a middle of night flight and went to leave our bags, was told the room wasnt ready til 2pm which was expected as that is check in time. Came back at 2 really ready for a nap and was told it would not be ready for at least another hour. Came back at 3pm and was given our room key. Then on checkout the next day which is 11, we were literally about to walk out of the room and the phone rang, it was reception telling us it was time to check out, i checked my phone and it was 11:02!!! So found it quite rude that it was fine for our room to be ready an hour late with no warning yet they hound you as soon as the clock strikes 11 on checkout day.

The rest is all good. Location is great, minutes away from Dam square. Rooms are clean and a reasonable size. Blackout blinds which are amazing for a good lie in, and no noise from the street. Also 24 hour bar which we made use of when the off license had shut.

We enjoyed our 4 nights stay at the Hotel Luxer. This is a great hotel which has friendly and attentive staff - for example, we arrived 4 hours before checking in time but the room was not ready so the staff securely looked after our bags and upon returning to the hotel later in the day the bags were in our room.
The large double room was very comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was really good and you can eat as much as you want. The hotel was very clean and secure as only residents are allowed entry to the hotel
The hotel is a short walk from Central Station and the major attractions are all within walking distance or a short trip on the tram.
The Hotel Luxer exceeds its 3 star rating and I would highly recommend it.

Room Tip: Room 401 is the only room on the 4th floor (which is the converted attic). It is a large double room...

Gorgeous little hotel, clean and trendy, great breakfast and friendly staff. Within walking distance to all the favorite sights and close to the station. Would recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Amsterdam. Hoping to go back again very soon.

We travelled here just to party for the weekend.
The location of the hotel is brilliant, its 2 minutes from dam square and a short walk from central station.
The staff were polite and accommodating and the room was clean.
We would def use this hotel again if we returned to amstetdam in the future.

Stayed here with my teenage daughter and her friend for one night. The hotel has a very good location with restaurants and pubs in the same street and very short distance to shopping areas. The area is probably not something you should drag small kids into...

The rooms are clean and have whatever you expect from a 3 star hotel. The service is good and people very friendly.

The only negative experience is that the walls are paper thin and depending on your neighbor the experience can be very different. I had very silent neighbors but could still here they were talking (not shouting).

Room Tip: High floors, away from the street (and without neighbors)
