Stayed in the hotel for three nights. The reception is on the first floor above a restaurant and is quite small and pokey. It clearly has not had much money spent on it and has the feel of a budget two star hotel. I had a single bedroom which was tiny and the en suite shower room was equally small. The common parts of the hotel has a smell of food which probably comes from the restaurant below. The location however is its selling point, with excellent access to the city centre amenities.

ID#: 48117555

this hotel is first class if your goin to amsterdam, based in the heart of amsterdam, me n my wife like to visit the coffee shops and if you do likewise this is the hotel for you, coffee shop outside opposite top place, , the staff cant do enough for ya its heaven, plus u get a nice continental breky with somethink to cater for all tastes, we ad a double bed so cozy! , , ur ontop of the action, everythink is in walking distance whether it be art galleries, canal boat rides, i nice pub or better still coffee shops for a real feel to amsterdam, anne frank museum is close to, so enjoy ur days out n then back to the doria for a wonderfull nites kip, n just because its central dont think its to noisy when trying to kip as we never heard much at all once ur window was closed, tip dont look at the price in english pounds as u will b disapointed when u arive n the exchange rate u got does not resemble what u pay in euros, so basically just look at the price in euros and u want go rong, ignore the price in pounds when booking any hotel outside of uk. enjoy ur stay , wish we were back there now!!! ps thank you to all at the doria for all the help use provided.

we stayed here for 3 days and we havent got one complaint, the room was clean with ensuite, staff were helpful so no complaints. After reading some of the reviews we were a bit apprehensive but when we arrived it was spot on.

We recently stayed at the Doria, it was our 3rd visit to A'dam. The location is great, but the room was not clean. The phone had a layer of dust on it, the comforter and blankets were not washed (obvious spots of dirt) and the sheets were stained. The sheets had been washed but they had stains reamining. I kept my sandals on while in the room because I did not feel comfortable walking on the carpet in my bare feet.
We were looking for a cheap hotel so the price fit the bill. The next time we visit the Dam we will be paying the extra 30 eur and staying at a better hotel.
