“Very good times had at this hotel!”

Good hotel. The price was very affordable especially if you are visiting Amsterdam on a budget. The receptionist was very welcoming. The room was functional. Nothing special but plenty of room for the four of us. The hotel was located right beside the red light district close to everything. Free internet in the reception which was handy!

Me and my friend stayed there during christmas and new year and we paid a lot, however our room was so dirty and cold, it was gross. Also, there is also one outlet in the room so we had to take turns to charge our phones and cameras all the time. The breakfast is poor, the stairs are so steep, you could easily fall and break you leg no joke. The only good thing about this hotel is that the staff is very friendly and helpful and the location is very good, besides that, the hotel needs a renovation asap.

We stayed here in December for a short break beforw Christmas. It was in a great location right opposite Central station. Lots of very steep stairs but hey this is Amsterdam, we were just unfortunate to be on the top floor. Breakfast was good and room was clean. The only problem we had was the heating was not on when we arrived although we did not take much notice as we went straight out, however it was not on when we came in and Saturday morning it was still off, we did report it but it was not sorted out until we returned back in the early hours of Sunday morning and we were then leaving.

Pros:
THOMAS and the other staff were very friendly and helpful. Free Internet on PC in the lobby & vending machine. Only 3 other hostel rooms so never had to wait for shower/toilet. GREAT LOCATION, literally roll out of door onto road full of bars/food places/coffee shops.

Cons:
Bed a bit uncomfy but you can sleep on anything after a night out. Can be a bit noisy with window open as central location, bring earplugs. Rooms are small but big enough if you're on a trip with a friend & won't be in there much.

Room Tip: Room 12 is good, on the first floor, shower right outside.

The room was a room for 3 normally and they just put a forth bed in it which left us no space. Plus no windows in a room in summer when you are 4 in it is unbearable !

This was my girlfriends first trip to Amsterdam so I wanted to make sure she really enjoyed it. The hotel staff were very kind and helpful. The room was clean a there was never any issue with sharing the bathroom or shower room, even though they were booked solid. The stairs were steep, but what else is new in Amsterdam about that, and the ceiling a little low. Other then that though a nice place to stay right in the middle of all things Amsterdam.
