We stayed at this Hotel from 1st-4th April.

Location: Perfect as it is central to all the main visitor attractions in Amsterdam. Situated on Rembrandt Square you could enjoy a relaxing drink or pop across to Starbucks. There is even a cafe called "Smokeys" on the Square, if thats what you are in to ....

Room: We paid extra so that we did not have to share a bathroom. The bathroom had an awful smell coming from the pipes. The room was basic and clean. It wasn't lavish but was a good base to come back to in the evenings to freshen up before heading out for dinner. We pretty much only used the room to have showers and sleep in. After booking this Hotel we read reviews on Trip Advisor about someones money going missing from their safe. As a result we thought there was no point hiring a safe if people have access to it. We left our money and passports in the room for the four days and are relieved to report that it was left untouched. We had a room overlooking the front of the Hotel. We (thankfully) didnt have the same pigeon problems that some others had but our room was directly above the Irish bar on Rembrandt Square. Some nights the noise woke me up...but I am a light sleeper and the double glazing kept most of the noise out. Our towels were changed daily.

Staff: Any discussions with staff were always. They answered all questions.

Price: Hotel is a good price considering everything/ everywhere in Amsterdam is quite expensive.

Overall: If you are booking a short break you do not want to spend a fortune on a hotel when you will never be in it. I would probably book this Hotel again in the future.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front of the hotel look out onto the Square. They have spikes on the window ledges to s...

Hotel was terrible but lovely staff and great location. Location couldn't be better.
I paid extra for our room as we had the luxury of our own bathroom. I couldnt bear to share!
The pigeons woke us up every morning at 6am with incessant cooing. Then the staff woke us up preparing breakfast very loudly juat steps away from our room.
There was chewing gum stuck to one of the bed pillows which made me feel sick! They insisted on placing the pillow back on my bed every day.
Fresh towels every day.
Both my other half and I struggled to sit on the toilet as our knees touched the bath it was so small.
Didnt bother with breakfast as it didnt lool great and was expensive.
Fab location tho!!!

This was mine and my boyfriends first trip to Amsterdam and we were incredibly lucky to have found a hotel in such a great location knowing nothing about the city. It's on a busy square surrounded by pubs, bars, cafés and even has a Starbucks a stones throw away. The staff were friendly, even generous enough to let my boyfriend and I have a smoke on the private roof terrace which is for staff only. They also recommended us a great cafe to visit that is used by the locals called Barney's. Definitely go there for a smoke! The room, however, was very basic, we actually laughed a little when we first saw it but for the amount of time we spent in the hotel, it really didn't matter. It has all the essentials you need and is a good price so why waste money on a gorgeous room when you're too busy exploring the city? I think the pros definitely outweigh the cons with Hotel Atlanta.

Choose this hotel because of it's lcoation. Amsterdam is quite expensive so staying in the city centre means needing to choose a less nice hotel. When we checked in there had been an over booking sof or the first night we ended up in a very small room. Luckly they did compensate us (we asked for it) with free breakfast each morning although that wasn't a great selection so we ended up eating out most mornings instead. When we gotmoved to another room the next day it was bigger, but the whole place could have done with a good clean. It wasn't visibly dirty but everything was a bit shabby and need some TLC. The staff at the hotel were really friendly and helpful. Would recommend this if you want somewhere to rest your head when you are done exploring the city.

Over Internet we booked what was advertised as 3* hotel with en suite bathroom. When we arrived there were just 2 stars on the entrance and the first night we had a ROOM WITHOUT BATHROOM. The second night room was much better but still it would need a total renovation. The stink from canalization in the bathroom was terrible.

The location is fantastic and just below the hotel there is a nice Irish pub with nice breakfast.

With better cleaning and rooms with toilets the hotel could be made appropriate for a short stay.

Room Tip: Make sure that you get a toilet in the room.

We stayed here for a couple of nights in March as a group of 6 (3 couples). The hotel couldn’t be in a better location as is right on Rembrandt Square which is lively with plenty of bars and restaurants. This can however be a problem if you have one of the rooms which faces the square as it can get very loud. One of our party had to ask to change rooms due to the noise. This isn’t the hotel’s fault and they were very accommodating in moving rooms.

Staff were very friendly and check in check out was easy. Our room smelt a bit of cigarettes but others seemed to be ok.

I wouldn’t bother with the breakfast as you can eat better and for cheaper around the square or elsewhere in the city.
