On arrival we received a free upgrade to a beautiful room on the street side with all facilities including hair dryer, generally clean except for a clump of hair overlooked in the bathroom. The service desk was friendly and helpful, the hotel open 24/7 (not for check-in though).

Located in a beautiful residential area opposite Artis Zoo and near the Hortus Botanicus, with several small restaurants and bars nearby. It's a 20-min walk (or 10-minute tram, 5-minute bus ride) to Central Station (trains with direct connection to Schiphol airport 24/7), 10 minutes to Waterloo Plain market, Rembrandt Plein nightlife and major shopping streets.

Room Tip: Quiet rooms in the back (trams in the front).

Front desk got totally mixed up with booking; not pro and even unwelcoming !
Rooms did stick out as not clean messy and three lrarg slugs pretty much at ease confirmed the damp feel and cellar like smell in both rooms booked, not forgetting spiders...
What I would say is this: if there nothing else but a room in that place post pone your trip to Amsterdam unless it's a matter of life or death ! It's not worth more than 25-30 euros a room a night so 100 euros is really too farfetched! Sorry but it's Really not good!!

Noisy, not clean, small room, not central at all and not cheap for what it is... I would not stay there again and would not recommend it to anyone... I wish I had paid a bit more to stay somewhere else....

We have stayed here before and loved it. This time it was loud as we faced the preschool and we were next to the front desk, although we did request a quiet room. Although the preschool does not open until about 9:30 AM, which is good. A repair or two was needed and furniture was rather beat up and old. However, the guy at the front desk during the week was wonderful and so helpful. He helped us a lot and even let us do our laundry. The location is, as always, incredible. We most likely will stay here again, but will ask for a room higher up to make the price of the hotel worth it, as it is now more expensive than it used to be. I think the hotel is more for backpackers than for couples, but we still liked it for the most part. Free wifi.

Room Tip: Choose a room higher up, perhaps not facing the preschool. Although the preschool does not open unti...

Great value for the money (60 €), the athic is a good option for those that do not matter about climbing three floors through narrow stairs.

The athic is nice, big and well equiped (fridge, mirror, hair dryer). In the morning the courtains can not hold the sunlight, that becomes disturbing.

It is 20-25 minute walking from the city center, but you have a tram stop next to the hotel.

The recepcionist was very nice. There is wifi and you can leave the luggage the last day if needed.

Room Tip: We stay in the athic, it worths if you are fit.

The services provided by all 3 different person at the reception are good.
Location is very near to tram but far (for walking) from popular places especially nightlife.
Rooms are noisy due to the trams. Clean and free wifi provided.
