“Keizersgracht... Just completely beautiful!”
Reviewed July 31, 2014

Alright, So I'll cut to the chase…. Amsterdam has the reputation for prostitution and drugs which are one of the many things people take advantage of when visiting Amsterdam. However, for me this city is so much more… I started by renting a bike. Amsterdam is the city of bikes that actually outnumber its population 1.5 to 1. When renting a bike you can take a map (that normally the rental company provide) and venture out on your way. The architecture is completely mind blowingly beautiful and well worth seeing! One stop I'd recommend is 'Keizersgracht' as it's surprisingly quiet and delivers the satisfying beauty this city does not fail to provide! (Also, I recommend at night for couples, as its very romantic when lit) If you're unsure where to visit, go to the tourist office and ask for advice (located opposite Central Station)The people speak the perfect English, French and my friends also told me Spanish in some cases! Nonetheless, well worth the visit and I'd happily visit again… & again… & again!

“One of the most stunning and beautiful canals in Amsterdam”
Reviewed July 30, 2014

Tucked away between the Herengracht and Prinsengracht, the Keizersgracht canal is certainly one of my favorite canals. Strolling down the tranquil, tree lined streets lining either side lets you experience Amsterdam like a true Dutch local. The sunlight streams through the tree tops while glowing softly on the quaint Dutch homes nestled together on either side. Cafes and small restaurants are dotted through out so grabbing a quick bite to eat is the perfect way to spend an afternoon. An absolute must while in Amsterdam.

This is another tour you can't miss. It was fun and a great way to see the architecture of the buidings and life style of the Dutch people. If possible, go at night.

is the second and widest of the three major canals in the city centre of Amsterdam, in between Herengracht and Prinsengracht. It is named after Maximilian I.
