“Lots of character”
Reviewed May 26, 2014

Wandering around the area is a great experience - buildings to admire, life on the canal and wonderful little shops and side streets

“Lovely area”
Reviewed May 22, 2014

This is a lovely area to explore.
First there is the canal to walk along and watch the the boats gently moving up and down. There are some interesting building to see. And don't forget the little roads immediately off the canal with super little shops and eating places.
It's a really relaxing area to explore with not much traffic but watch out for the bikes!

“For each taste”
Reviewed May 19, 2014

Nice walking path to walk, full of small places, shops, pubs. One of the typical Amsterdam views. Must see, best by boat and long sunny afternoon cruise through the canal(s). Maybe the best way to explore oldest part of the Amsterdam historcal city centre.

“Long walk on the canal”

Great area to walk around and look over the city. A bit crowded though, not friendly for driving in the area.

“Picture of Amsterdam”
Reviewed May 10, 2014

You can enjoy the view of Keizersgracht with the canal cruise. But when you want to see more, it is better to go for a stroll. Not only the beutiful buildings but also small shops , cafes, restaurant, churches or museum on the both side make this canal worth to visit. June 20-22, 2014 there is "Open Garden Days" so when you're in Amsterdam, just take time to visit the gardens along the canals, you'll gonna love it. The first "Homo Monument " in the world is at the corner of Raadhuisstraat and Keizergracht, near the Westerkerk. In the winter when the canal is frozen, the "Keizersgracht skate competition"wil be held.
