“Magnificent Canal Tour”
Reviewed November 23, 2012

If you visit Amsterdam, first of all you have to arrange a canal tour, because Amsterdam is city which was established over water. During their entire history, they fought with water in order to protect their city.
Canals link provinces actually the entire city. Panaromic view is wonderful and unique. I also advice everyone to take thier cameras to record this view.

“Lovely!”
Reviewed November 19, 2012

As we rode along the canal, it was as though the clock was turned back a hundred years ago and more---the observer could easily imagine what life must have been like then. The canal boats are convenient and easily accessible for tourists to view not only the Emperor's Canal but other scenic waterways in Amsterdam. The tall, skinny. generally brick-constructed buildings appear sturdy---even though some of them lean slightly! It was fascinating that the buildings are equipped with cranes atop--- in order to transport furnishings in and out of the buildings as they are too narrow to do so up the stairwells. The very active canal was lined with much sought-after houseboats. Taking the tour boat down the Emperor's Canal affords a wonderful vantage point to view lovely, historical Amsterdam from the water.

“Beautiful”

One of the numerous canals in the city of Amsterdam, many grand buildings on each side of the canal, many bridges and tiny canals in various corners.

We enjoyed taking the on/off boat to reach various areas of the city and enjoyed the narrative as we rode along.

“You must do this at least once in your life!”
Reviewed November 10, 2012

Taking this canal tour (and there are many) but taking this one I felt like I was actually doing something that everyone should do once in their lives. I'm in international sales so I travel a lot for my job and have seen some beautiful things...this ranks right up there with the widest avenue in Buenos Aires, flying over the Andes Mountains and the seeing rainforest in Costa Rica. Really, you have to see it to believe it for all it's beauty.
