this is a great museum providing an excellent companion to the Anne Frank house..plan on 90 minutes to walk through the experiences of the Dutch people during World War II...we all (probably) would like to think we would resist the Nazi occupation.. the decision is not so easy at the time.. this museum shows all the alternatives.. will make you think and you will be touched

Every nation wants to tell their own story their own particular way and the European phenomenon of "resistance museums" is so exception.

As a student of history, the Resistance Museum was very interesting. The audio tour (included in the visit) is very interactive and all the primary source material is presented in interesting and interactive ways; very creative.

It is somewhat difficult to find but it was worth the effort. The Dutch people were asked to keep diaries of their experiences during the war, and here you get to learn what it was like to be occupied by the German forces.

The Resistance Museum captured my attention for over three hours. Whether collaborating, hiding, resisting, or just trying to stay alive...the stories and truths are compelling and the pictures and personal items are touching, many tragic. I spent over an hour in the special exhibition about the children's transports and read every narrative. The entire space was quiet, sobering, and still making it easy to really feel the enormity of both WWII's braveries and horrors.

This museum gives you an understanding of the resilience and bravery of the 'ordinary' Dutch citizen during the war. Well worth the visit.
