The Verzetsmuseum is an interactive museum that captures the life of Dutch citizens during World War 2 in an impressive manner. The museum takes you from 1930 till the end of the war and shows the different choices people made during this period of time.

I definitely recommend this museum if you're interested in World War 2 or want to learn more about the daily life of people between 1930 and 1950. If you take your time, visiting the museum will take between 3 and 4 hours.

“Well worth a trip, but make sure you have 2 hours!”
Reviewed December 2, 2013

I noticed that this was a 'new ish' museum and not too far away from my hotel. I felt I owed it to the people who led the resistance to visit it and I was not dissappointed. I took the audio tour which was about 90 minutes long and felt I got much more out of the exhibits than just reading the plaques.

The downside of the museum was the layout was not so straight forward, but nothing major, I just had to back track a bit.

the upside, was a lot of work had gone into it, they had different types of displays, and very informative. I was really glad I went. However you if you do the audio tour and press all the options (as I did) it will take you 90 minutes plus. So make sure you are not in a hurry.

“A Highlight Of Our Vacation”

This museum tells the story of brave people fighting tyranny. These are people who should never be forgotten. It also was balanced in showing that not everyone fought the Nazi curse, which is a plus.

“Excellent Museum”
Reviewed November 24, 2013

The museum has a great combination of audio and visual experiences the gives you a great view of the resistance as well as the Nazi collaborators. It takes about an hour and the exhibits give a great view of the time period and what the Dutch went through during the Nazi occupation.
