The exhibit itself was fantastic with loads of informative displays. Staff were very pleasant and overall, I enjoyed my visit!

Lots of information here but not as clearly organized as I would have liked. Lots of school kids during the weekday.

Not for families with children under 14, I would have said. Very political (for obvious reasons), lots of detail that my 13 year old struggled to understand and concentrate on after a while. I think they should make it clear before you part with your money. I probably would have sat outside with her in the sunshine. But for adults - wonderful !

A must-see. Fascinating, disturbing and heartbreaking. What a fantastic museum. We were there for 3 hours and only left then because our feet were hurting. I'd recommend this to anyone over Anne Frank house, which has long lines and not a whole lot to see.

This is a well laid out museum that gives you the history of the Netherlands from the 1930's pre-World War II time to the end of that war. It shows every day life that got more and more difficult through those years. It shows the gradual de-humanisation and eventually deportation of the Jewish population. It shows those who were cowards and did not stand up against the evil of the nazi's. And it shows the courage of those to whom this museum is dedicated: the men and woman of the dutch resistance. (verzet). There are many original artefacts that are sometimes moving like the letters sent home from concentration camps. The signs at the exhibits are both in dutch and english. The museum is only € 7,50 and is opposite the entrance of Artis, the Amsterdam Zoo. All-in-all well worth the visit. And don't miss the picture at the end of the exhibition. In this picture there is a sign which reads "This is Holland. Remember! The Dutch are our Allies".
