My boyfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights in a street-facing room. The room was small (almost completely filled by the bed), but had enough space for our suitcases, which was all that we needed! Modern, clean bathroom, flat-screen TV with several English channels, and free wifi. The bed was super comfortable, and we had little trouble with the street noise (I wore earplugs, my boyfriend didn't even need to do that). Staff was very helpful and responsive if we had any problems. The Filo Maria restaurant a few doors down had a great deal - pizza or pasta for 5 Euro (perfect at the end of a long day!). Overall, a good deal for the price!

Very nicely decorated, self service machines, no bar or fridge, staff very helpful, hired me a bike, located resturants. Breakfast a bit disapointing but continental always is for a UK guy looking for fried meat. frequent trams to the centre and the RAI. i hired a bike from the hotel wich was frankly, brilliant. I can't thik why I have been to AMS all these times and nver done it before.I had a room at the back with a small balcony over looking residential gardens, very nice. Cafe just down the road (left out of hotel) was great for a beer or dinner.

Note to ladies on balconies, some balconies are visible from inside the room next door to yours, this can be embarressing for both parties.

Room Tip: I think either front or back would be cool, see other reviews for opinions on front facing rooms, if...

I just finished a four night stay for business in Amsterdam at the Atlantis hotel. The rooms all smell of mould, so much so that it would give you a sore throat to breath the air. If you open the window, you would be attacked by an army of mosquitoes. The beds were ok and there was a flat screen tv. There is no mini-bar and the only source of water, etc is a vending machine in the lobby. The internet service is awful and almost unusable. The breakfast was mediocre with hard boiled eggs and hot dogs.

If you´re looking for a comfortable hotel to stay at in Amsterdam, this one is not really what I would recommend and would suggest you look elsewhere.

Great hotel, upon arrival we were given a map and a run down of the area and Amsterdam.
A little bit further away from the centre but in walking distance.. unfortunately it was raining most of the time we were there but there are many trams which run past the hotel or just down the street. Easy to get to museum area.
Lots of good restaurants in the area also.

Had a balcony whihc was nice Room was very clean. Only down side was that there were only plastic cups for the kettle facilities - didn't test out what would happen with a cup of hot water!

Price was reasonable, is close to tram line but a little far to the center of Amsterdam. Hotel has no air conditioning.

My family booked 2 twin rooms. Both rooms were on the forth floor and the boys had a bigger room at the back with small balcony. My daughter and I had a room overlooking the street, which we found very quite even though the trams are going past. The breakfast was basic but filling. The South African Restaurant down the road was great and friendly for dinner.

Booked 4 twin rooms for a weekend in Amsterdam. The hotel was cheap and good value for money, the rooms were all clean and the bathrooms were all wet rooms which was ok, the location is about 35 -45 minutes walk from dam square so it is a bit far to walk but just round the corner from the hotel is the tram stop which takes about 10 minutes and takes you into dam square which was much easier.
Staff on reception were very helpful and gave us all maps of Amsterdam for free and explained our position etc.
My only complaint was the beds of our twin room were pushed together so It looked like a double bed but after 5 minutes of re-arranging the problem was sorted. Also our room did not have a window to open but it was quite cool in the room.
Overall the hotel was very cheap and provided a clean place to wash and sleep for the weekend.
