PROS: The hotel is simple but really cosy. The location couldn't be better: next to Leidsplein, one of the restaurants/bars spots in town. The breakfast is basic but really good! The croissants are a must! The room has hairdryer, which is a plus. The service is TOP!! Would definitely go back!
CONS: The crazy stairs!!! The hotel only has 18 rooms and, with our bad luck, we got 1 room on the 3rd and another on the 4th (and last) floor. The stairs makes you give up on going back to your room after breakfast to pick up something you left: you know what I mean? lol Sooo, be careful not to bring a large suitcase, as it can be dificult for you alone to "climb" up to your room :)

We received a very warming welcome when our party arrived at the hotel slightly before noon on our check in day. It was no trouble at all for them to hold our bags and they gave us a map and marked several key spots. Great location too not far from the 1,2, and 5 tram stops. Normal size room and private bathroom.

Very welcoming and very helpful. They have a free breakfast in the morning although only took advantage of the coffee and water. They sell beer in the lobby which is awesome. They have the local fare of Heinekein for 2 Euros and whats known as the 7 Deadly Sins craft collection that is local as well for 3 Euros a bottle. Unbelievable. Great place to have a drink before heading out! Wanted to stay there again on our way back in town but unfortunately they were booked. They were even kind enough to print out the train schedule to Paris as we were heading there the next day. Can't say enough good stuff about the friendly staff! Only thing is I wish they had an elevator!

Room Tip: Great beers to try in the lobby for 2 and 3 euros!

We had one triple and one single room.

The triple was very good, the single not so much, it was in the basement…
Apart from that I would recommend this hotel.

Nice breakfast as well!
Very friendly staff.

everyone one was nice and helpful from Mina at check in, who helped with making dinner reservations , Astrid at breakfast who made us cappuccino and encouraged us to come back again in the summer and get a room with the garden view, and the guy who made us pancakes (Profitjel?) on the snowy Sunday afternoon as we sat with the cat in the window and my wife sipped hot cocoa.

Room Tip: when they say 2nd floor they mean they are counting the ground level reception as "0" so b...

Good staff, bed and location. However, 4 very steep floors with no lift, noisy road required ear plugs and a shower that's on par with a basic backpackers. Fine if they were charging 20 euros a night.

Room Tip: First floor at the back.

We loved our stay Staff were friendly, helpful and cheerful. Wifi free but not strong upstairs. Breakfast was included, good range and fresh. No lift so prepare for a steep climb We had level 4 room great views out into the city and quiet. Bathroom was clean and shower modern and good water pressure. Heating was good despite a draft from bathroom window. Safe batteries died on us so staff came and fixed it for us.
Cat was very friendly and cute. Would stay again. Good value
