“Cheap and cheerful”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 3, 2013

Cheap as chips, perfect for a stoner's holiday. You can smoke in the room as long as you have the window open. Bathroom is shared between all the rooms of 2 floors, so you may wait in line for a shower in the morning.

We had the room at the basement with no windows, we were told before we chose it on the day we checked in.
the beds we had were clean and we were comfortable to sleep on.
The room is small.
The area is nice, no screaming or anything like that..we could sleep like a sleeping beauty.
There is a laundry services, which we love it because every time we travel, we always bring clean clothes, it is fasts and just two minutes walk to reach there.
The location is near to the central station, cafe, shops.

Room Tip: choose the rooms with the shower and toilet inside the room. better get it at the basement with the...

Stayed here for a couple nights 1st week of September.Amy sent us to some great places to eat and also was great for conversation. If you are looking for a Hilton this is not it.If you want a great location and don't mind climbing stairs this is the place for you.

Room Tip: long haul to the 4th floor shared baths if that's a issue

The location was great!!! 10 minute walk to Centraal, walking distance to many tourist hot spots. The rooms, were old and worn out and extremely hot. No fan. The carpet old and dirty, but at least the bed was clean and no bed bugs. We knew what we were getting when we got there, but it was worth it due to the location.

1st impressions of this hotel were good, lobby is nice, but we were greeted by some strange woman on her high horse who seemed to have already made her opinions on us as we walked into the building, spoke to us like crap pn the bottom of her shoe and as if we were children (6 of us ages between 26-32) we kept our nice manor and ignored it, then she would proceed to repeat herself over and over about certain things, even though we told her we understood completely she still said it 8 more times to patronize us, anyway we thought sod it we're here on holiday, so 1st set of lads went 1st floor, 2nd 2nd floor and us 4th floor, 8 flights of very small steps, no decent bedding, dirty as hell walls cieling and carpet, vile communal toilet in a box so small you cant sit on the toilet.. no shower top floor so next one down, was also vile tool ages rto get ready and out in morning due to amount of people trying to get in also, think in 4 days we had 1 shower, and if needed toilet waited till we at a cafe or bar,
the room was also very over priced, for 2/3 the price we paid here we could have went greenhouse effect or any other great hotels, which rooms have been decorated high standard and en suite, also in nice central locations, or the ibis for much cheaper,

would recomend you stay away from here, especially if you go to Amsterdam to sample the local herbs, those 8 flight of stairs or soul destroying and buzz killing.

I'm usually easily pleased and only use my room for somewhere to sleep and leave my bags but the rooms at this place are the pits.
The shared bathrooms are disgusting.
It's a shame because its in an excellent location.
I loved the street it's in,plenty going on.
On the plus side the one member of staff we met was nice and had a great sense of humour and the lobby downstairs was lovely.

Room Tip: I can't imagine there being any good rooms. My son and daughter had a room on the top floor.Its...
