Check in was at the Restaurant and we were ushered to the door and was advised to go to the 1st floor by the restaurant staff for check in. When we got there, the person sitting behind the desk was so rude and told us that check in was at the restaurant. we told him that we were instructed to go to the 1st floor. I would have left right there and looked for a different hotel just bec. of the attitude we received 1st time we get there. we decided to stay 1 night bec. we were so tired from travelling and we have our dutch friends waiting for us at the restaurant. He then processed us for us for check in, invoiced and collected immediately for payment. we didn't have any other option but to stay in that hotel for the duration of our trip since we already paid for the whole thing in advance. we went to our room and received more disappointments. The room looked very cheap, sparsely decorated (Don't believe the pictures they posted on their websites) and needs refurbishing. TV remote was missing. No lights in the bedroom area, not even a lamp so we have to get dressed using the light from the tv screen and the light that filters out from the bathroom area. We were in utter disbelief. we thought that this will be a good hotel since its situated in the most expensive street in Amsterdam. we were wrong, even our friends were surprised.
Only good thing about this hotel was its location.
