I want to warn the bidders at this resort - I booked an apartment. Was registered Free cancellation 14 days before entering the hotel. The hotel's policy was registered at authorized for the purpose of a health check payment information to allocate an amount from the bank. Eventually canceled 16 days prior to entry and commitment 350euro. Has been a month - I spoke with the hotel but still no refund

This hotel was just perfect for me....
A solo traveller looking for a central location in Amsterdam...
They gave me a secure, clean, compact and tidy room, nice clean and fluffy towels, powerful shower, comfortable bed, accessible bar, helpful local knowledge and advice, really helpful and friendly staff
Hey, It's not 5* Super-Luxurious, but the staff and owners are really truly lovely, and made me feel really welcome...
Enjoy your stay ;)

We stayed there in September 2016, two rooms.
Excellent location – BUT!
I have traveled to Amsterdam several times every year for the last 25 years; I have never experienced a hotel as disgusting as Rembrandtplein Hotel.
I do not think the room or the hotel in general had been cleaned for months!
Even worse after we complained and asked for a prober cleaning of our rooms the hotel completely stopped cleaning and making up the rooms instead …
On top of this there was holes in the doors broken windows and the power outlets was hanging out of the walls in the wires.
If Rembrandtplein Hotel offers you room 9 – I recommend saying no thanks! Because there are bedbugs in this room!
Thanks’! we will never forget this hotel!

Room Tip: If Rembrandtplein Hotel offers you room 9 – I recommend saying no thanks! Because there are bedbugs in this room!

The staff are brilliant. We stay here every year. Ideally located and ideally prices. You get what you pay for with this hotel. They have been doing improvements for quite some time. The room I stayed in last time was fine.

I booked this hotel for my sister and myself for my birthday weekend, it was quite hard to find originally but once we knew where we were going it was fine, it is in a great location with Rembrandtplein square 5 minutes away and Dam Square around 15 minutes walk, the hotel itself is not great, the bathroom is the smallest bathroom I have seen in my life, the room was very tight and cracks in the mirrors and lamp shade missing, the hotel was having some paint work done whilst we were there which was annoying as the staircases were very narrow so hard to get around it and no lifts to take luggage up and down, this was hard as we were on the top floor, the hotel could be very nice but I think it needs more than a lick of paint! It has a nice smoking area downstairs which we loved and staff were attentive.

Overall im not sure if I would stay here again when I come back to Amsterdam, however it is a lot cheaper so depends if you are willing to pay an extra £100 for a nicer hotel
