My fiance and I went here twice on our 5 day stay in Amsterdam. The service was great and the food was the best we had on our whole trip between Amsterdam and Paris. If we were to go back, this would be our first stop.

My husband and I and two friends dined here on a Saturday night in June. We arrived about 7:30 p.m. and the place was hopping. Fortunately, we were seated right away at one of the tables in the seating area upstairs from kitchen (very warm even though it was about 60 degrees outdoors). What we noticed immediately, was how many Asian customers were in the restaurant - mostly Thai.
We ordered beers, spring rolls, pad thai, a fish dish with ginger sauce and pork with vegetables. We kept it to three dishes for the four of us, which was plenty.
The food was freshly prepared and very tasty. This is not a gourmet or an upscale restaurant, but if you are looking for tasty, well-prepared food that will not break the bank, this is a good choice.

If you want a great Thai restaurant experience in Amsterdam, visit Jasmine Thai Cuisine! We happened to walk by during lunch hours and stopped, something we don't regret. We ordered beef with garlic which was great in flavour! We also had chicken in red curry sauce. The dishes were served with sticky rice. The curry was supposed to be a 2 on a 1-3 scale on spicyness, it lacked a bit of spicyness though. However, the meal was great in flavour and we would definitely go back if we have the chance! Just don't expect too much from the interior which is a bit worn-down. But on the other side, you go there for a great food experience!!

Maybe it was because we were there between lunch and dinner, but if a restaurant is going to be open and serving, the food quality should not be less and it definitely was this time. Have eaten here three times before and was impressed with the authentic Thai dishes but this time the chicken sate was dry and tough -- must have been made earlier and reheated -- the sauces tasted as if they came from a jar, and the beef green curry was okay but had no zing. Also, the place is not being kept clean. It's one thing if you're expected to reuse the cutlery between a starter and a main, but when the place mats are soiled and your used forks/knives are placed on them between courses it isn't good service. I'm not expecting fine dining here but sanitation is an issue. The main criticism though is the declining focus on fresh, authentic Thai flavors.

having previously been disappointed with the quality of Thai food at several restaurants in Amsterdam decided to follow Trip Advisor reviews and visit Jasmine. Like others was a little dismayed at both the exterior of the restaurant and the interior which lacks ambience although is basic and comfortable. Empty on arrival apart from another couple who were just leaving did not add to anticipation although by the time we left the restaurant was full, perhaps indicating greater late evening business. You definately cannot judge a book by its cover though as in this case the wuality of the food delivered, matched by the service, was of a far higher standard and far more authentic Thai in style to may others. Tom Yum Gung, Mussuman Nua, Green Curry Goong, Som Tum Green papaya Salad, all pleased and this could become a regular visit on trips to Amsterdam.
