It holds 4 screening rooms that showcase a wide variety of films, from historical classics to the latest arthouse premieres. There is a 1200m2 exhibtion space with 4 changing exhibtions every year. There is a large terrace with a spectaculair view over Amsterdam. The bar and restaurant are open 7 days a week from 10.00pm to 01.00am.

Its just a free fiery ride across from the train staion. The Eye stands out because it is so modern against the old city. Plus it is so white it is like a magnet drawing your eye to stare at it

We only visited the basement of this stunning building, which is free of charge and offers some interesting and fun displays. Crossing from the central train station to get to the museum is quick and also free of charge.

Okay, I travel all the way to Holland, get directions on how to get to Eye, go to Centraal Station, take the ferry and get to the island. Guess what? It is one of these sily trendoid places that has decided that cash is not welcome. Nope. You MUST pay with plastic. So I try my U.S. bank card and it fails the swipe for some reason. So I give them my U.S. credit card and it also fails. So I am standing there with hundreds of Euros in my wallet and they say sorry, we don't take cash. And so I leave. Much time wasted. Sorry I cannot give you a real review of the interior, the museum or the films. I can tell you that the welcome was not a welcome at all.

The new Eye is really worth going if you are interested in films. There are always very interesting exhibits, many screenings of "classic" and modern films in nice screening rooms. The staff is very friendly and efficient. The architectural structure is very interesting indoors & outdoors. Take the ferry behind the the train station, no taxis, as very expensive and not easy to get to.
