“Nice Relaxing Night”
Reviewed November 13, 2013

Our first night in Amsterdam we decided to take a bit of a break from all the crazies and check out this jazz bar. It was excellent. The band was amazing and we even danced. We tried every beer that they had (about 4 different types) and they were all great. Good crowd and lots of fun. It was a bit hard to find because there was construction going on along the street but do not let this discourage. I would definitely go again.

“What a night!”
Reviewed October 27, 2013 via mobile

Got there before 11 so it was free entry. Beer was good, same price as anywhere else in that area. The band started at 11 and didnt stop till 3am. They played an amazing set, people in the place were friedly, bar staff polite and effcient. A great addition to our holiday.

“New twist to old music”
Reviewed October 9, 2013

Bourbon street club in Amsterdam was a chance find, but truly a great one. The Cloxks,a fusion-rock band were excellent, and they put a reggae twist to popular 80's music like Roxanne and Jolene. The crowd was eclectic, the vibe groovy, the drinks cold. All in all a great way to bring in wee hours of the morning ( they played till 5)

“Blues Till You Drop”
Reviewed September 30, 2013

This is a great bar in Amsterdam that on a Saturday night has a kicking blues band playing live and a big dance floor full of people dancing the night away. If you like your music live and your bars pumping, this is the place for you. Had a great time.

“Definitely worth a visit! Open late!”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

Needed a place to go late at night and this was recommended to us by a bike taxi driver. It was definitely worth going! The drinks were fairly expensive, but we were in inner city Amsterdam! The music on the night (Sunday 1st September) was really a mixture of everything - jazz mixed with neo soul mostly - the band (a group of musicians that seemed to have been put together last minute, but that worked very well!) were just taking songs via request and doing their own thing with it. It was fab! We had a seat at the bar, but a lot of people were dancing and enjoying themselves. It was still fairly busy for the early hours of a Monday morning! I think it was open til 4am. We didn't pay an entry fee but I assume there would be one on a Friday/Saturday night.

For a more subdued jazz café, head to Alto Jazz Café just round the corner.
