Found this restaurant through recommendations on Trip Advisor and near Ann Frank Huis. It was a wonderful tapas restaurant. As soon as we sat down the waitress brought us over a bowl full of olives.
We ordered a variety of food but the best was the blue cheese stuffed dates. The rest of the food was great too. The place was packed and many people walked in trying to get tables while we sat there. I highly recommend this place.. definitely not a disappointment.

“Really fantastic”
Reviewed July 10, 2013

This quaint Spanish restaurant in a side street was truly wonderful. The service, the food (tapas) and the wine were faultless. You can watch the food being prepared at the kitchen end of the long room. Nothing was too much trouble for the owner. Would really recommend it, as there would be something on the menu to suit everyone!

“Rude, threatening staff”
Reviewed July 10, 2013

A party of three of us walked up and asked to be seated. The waitress gave us the pick of a few tables and we sat down. The restaurant was about 1/3rd empty. Shortly after we sat down, a rude older man who acted like the owner came over and started yelling at us for sitting at a reserved table. He was extremely rude and was trying to pick a fight. We calmly explained the waitress told us to sit there and there was no "reserved" plaque on the table but that we would be happy to move to any of the other open tables. The man would not listen and continued yelling and ranting and then went and grabbed a large rock from a counter that said "Reserved" on it and swung it around in a threatening manner and slammed it down on the table and said that it was "Reserved" now and to get away from the table. This guy must have been having an awful day or perhaps totally drunk but taking it out on the customer is no excuse. We were completely polite and the situation, which took us completely off guard due to the man's irrational actions, and left immediately as we would never want to patronize a restaurant who treats anyone in such a way so randomly.

Wonderful tapas and paella restaurant. Friendly ownership and a true gem. Went on a Friday night and they had a nice group in the quaint room. Central kitchen can be viewed preparing your meal ... You wont be dissapointed.

“Superb paella and sangria”
Reviewed July 4, 2013 via mobile

We had made a reservation at a restaurant up the street, Max, and arrived 10 minutes early. We walked in but they were not open yet, and did no offer to seat us, so we decided to walk around a bit. We passed Tasca Bellota and looked inside. We love Spanish food and the restaurant is charming. So we sat down an ordered a pitcher of Sangria and examined the menu. We started with some Tapas, gambas al ajillo and Serrano ham and olives. Then ordered paella Valenciana for 3. It was delicious. Full of seafood - huge prawns and mussels and clams plus pork, chicken and chorizo. The rice was fragrant and the kernels at the edge crispy. A great meal.
