“Hidden gem for local and tourists”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2014

Amsterdamse bos in my opinion is the most beautiful part of Amsterdam area. Huge forest with plenty of walking and biking path. Full of stunning canels and lakes. Sunset by a lake will top up your day.
The pancake house in the middle of the forest (http://www.boerderijmeerzicht.nl/en) is a most go on a sunny day, where you can enjoy Dutch pancakes in the nature. There is also a lot of outdoor activity. It is a popolar camping site in the summer. You can go rowing, walking, cycling, jogging. There is also a climbing park.
If you are going with kids, on Sundays in the summer you can explore the old tram track just by the south part of the forest. The tram track is normally not in operation but on Sundays they run some old wooden tram on it.

“Relax and walk”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2014

Lovely place to relax and walk. There are many entrances and parking areas. Many people go jogging and walking here especially a lot of dog walkers. Keep to the walking paths as there is path ways for bikes separate to walkers. There is a little farm to visit with animals for children to visit. You can also go horse riding and have lessons. There are many picnic areas and all so many music festivals in the summer. You can do many water sports here like swimming, water bike riding, rowing. At the edge of the park is many hockey fields. it is the headquarters for national rowing tournaments. One of my favourite spots to visit as our family live close to this area.

“awesome place to take a break from the city”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2014

Best place to spend a sunny day in Amsterdam if you are done with the busy life of the city. Best way to enjoy it is by bike with your pick-nick bag...
